No Tebow comments yet today?
Yes, they lost, as did Rodgers' Packers, Manning's Giants and half the teams in the NFL. On the other hand, the Broncos are still leading their division and looking like they may make the playoffs. No, its not pretty, and maybe this will be Tebow's only season as a starter, but his resolve and character speak volumes in the face of all the doubters... He has taken a team that was 1 - 3 before he played (coming in in the 3rd quarter of the 4th loss) and has them on the doorstep of the postseason.

Have to say I don't really think the arc'd NORTH DAKOTA at the Betty is all that great.... Much prefer the interlocking ND that they have on the helmets or the shoulders of the hockey jerseys
-
Say what you want about Tebow, his team now believes they can win. Going from 1-4 to 7-1 after changing from Orton to Tebow is quite a turnaround. No, its not all Tebow, but the quarterback is the team leader and the bottom line is the Broncos are now winning. The quarterback does not have to do it all by themselves, but they can be an inspiration for the team and its belief in themselves.

have to agree that some of the grammar and spelling on all boards and blogs reflects the wonderful educational system in place today.
In many respects, its the same group that also wants to destroy the Fighting SIoux name that hail from Indianapolis, Madison, etc...

The difference between Sacramento State pulling their basketball and other Olympic sports out of the Big Sky and the admission of UC Davis and Cal Poly's football teams is that just that - Sac State is already in the Big Sky and would be pulling their other sports out of the conference. Will the Big Sky say "OK, take your other sports and leave your football team"? That is actually not a move forward for the conference like adding Davis and Poly football. Did they really set a precedent that applies to Sac State?

good piece by Rick Reilly on espn.com about why Alabama should not get a free pass to the national championship game...
http://espn.go.com/e...-bcs-title-game
LSU vs. Oklahoma State (if the Cowboys beat Oklahoma on Saturday) would be tasty. And Gundy did say he'd consider his team for No. 2 if it beat OU.Just to introduce you to OSU. An offense that scores approximately every 11.3 seconds. A strength of schedule ranked 10th, compared with Alabama's at 38th. A team whose only loss was in double overtime to Iowa State the same week an OSU school plane crashed, killing two women's basketball coaches. A school that beat five teams with winning records to Alabama's three. A team with four wins over BCS top 25 teams to Alabama's two. Hello?
...
This SEC bias has to stop. The world of college football doesn't end at the Louisiana border.

Im pretty dissapointed that our two teams dont even meet till 2014, I'd like to see us play before that
Faison should be looking for games for the first two weekends of September to replace SD Mines & Central Arkansas. another post on this board said Weber was already scheduled for those weeks though...

Really, Cratter, the credit goes to you for the idea on that other thread that Darell should shut up on and let it go away. But thanks for the + rep!

Mussman is also among the top vote getters for the Liberty Mutual Coaching Excellence Award

so it sounds very quiet on the realignment front. two questions:
who jumps first now that the football season is (nearly) finished? will this change in light of the possibility of auto qualifiers going away...
are there any rumblings out of Missoula and Bozeman (as rumored by the Texas State board at the end of last summer) of the Montanas going FBS?

No, the day was August 5, 2005.
In reality, FSU, Utah, and CMU are on life-support, dangling by the string called "the whims of tribal politics".
Or worse, dangling by the string called "what will the NCAA do next?" (aka the whims of academia-minded groupthinkers). The NCAA could decide to drop the "exception policy" tomorrow and they'd be stuck.
As much as this feels terrible, I'd rather deal with it now instead of continually be swingin' in the wind on a string.
well said, Sica

not really a reform the BCS question, but what happens if Georgia beats LSU in the SEC title game? does LSU lose the opportunity to play for the national championship, while Alabama gets in without playing any more games?

Mus. is still out of the top 15 by over 300 votes. Lets all get on and vote him on.
less than 100 votes to #15 as of 10 pm Nov 29. As they say in Chicago - Vote early, vote often.

so next year, its about which comes first - the chicken (quality opponents) or the egg (wins). Nowhere to go but up.

Now 7-7. Wish I had this one on TV.

Everytime the fact is brought up that UND owns the won/lost record over ndsu in football we are told that history doesn't matter - my point was that this generation of bison fan has experienced one playoff game after waiting for 20 years - and that wasn't even of enough interest to generate a sell-out.
i will qualify this comment - i am a UND alum ... be careful about being too superior about playoff attendance at NDSU. first of all, they got to the playoffs, and second, they have a high enough in-season attendance average to be able to get a home game. unless UND starts getting a better crowd under the Big Sky banner (and last weekend's conference championship game which was not during Thanksgiving break, against the last remaining rival doesn't speak well for the Alerus crowds), when UND does get into the playoffs, they will be traveling to Robert Morris, not hosting them.

In the year I have been watching this board, I would have to refute your baseless post. Ira does not post to just see his words on the internet. When he posts, it is always well thought out and always well written insight from the perspective of a former player who knows the game. I, for one, would take his word as more gospel than that of Kolpack, Vandrovec or any other mouthpiece in mainstream media. He does not come on merely to bash the Bison faithful. Ira's posts are welcome anytime he has information to share. He gives many of us an insight into how an athlete thinks from the perspective of experience. Can you say the same?
