this is the future of college football....NOW!
understanding this is football…
Leaves perennial basketball power Kansas out, but includes UConn?Neither Arizona school?
Who else is missing?

They would also join the B1G or the Big12 if they could.
Why would a conference who's media rights just got slashed add school so far out of their footprint?
They already picked up the central time zone with NIU (football only), why would they keep adding extra slices to a shrinking pie?And there is the issue with the Dakotas going FBS.

Complain all you want about a cupcake game like yesterday…
Sulik probably had more field time yesterday than JK got all last season.
Another observation? maybe the coaches don’t want a lot of Ziebarth on film going in to conference play

Well, for starters, their football fan base travels as well as UND’s hockey. And to be blunt, like NDSU’s football fans. That sells tickets.

Although I have more goals for UND football then it becoming a farm program for coaches, I definitely agree that it becoming a stepping stone will mean UND football has ascended.
I definitely think UND football is going to become a destination (already sorta has to a degree)….
Successful FCS coaches (young coaches not looking for their last position) will inevitably move on. Just would rather see them to move to higher level programs like San Diego, Colorado State, etc; not SDSU, NDSU or others like Eastern Washington if they are not moving up from (for example) position coach to coordinator or coordinator to head coach.

I just want to see UND become a place for coaches to move up to higher level programs, not sideways to the same position at schools in the same conference or the same division.

yeah, I’m old. They taught that stuff back in the dark ages when we had to walk to school uphill in the snow.

Guess I need to find someone else to be my phone-a-friend. (I hope that reference isn't too old for her.)
I'm old and I cannot recall ever not knowing this. Are schools failing us? I'm neither a seismologist nor a SoCal resident, but I did watch the original Superman movie a fair bit. Don't want to judge too harshly; polled my two twenty-something kids (both educated in ND public schools)...only one knew.
So much for 'common knowledge.'
Has the line between trivia and esotery shifted that much?

bsc gets the west half of the wac...summit gets the texas side of the wac AND the WAC name...
done
The WAC name had cachet in its day. If the Summit took on the WAC name with the Texas schools and started football, the WAC would have swagger again.

North/South being Dakotas + Northern Iowa and Illinois State in the North?
That puts the Texans with Southern Illinois, Indiana State, Youngstown and Murray? Is this to entice the Texas schools by giving them the weak division?
East/West would be MVC + Youngstown East and the Summit (Dakotas + Texas) West, putting the stronger programs in the West. Also would be easier to split Summit football. Then there could be 2 automatic berths.

Hope this is true

How big of a donation to NIL will KEM be making and will it be earmarked solely for hockey?
Guessing Sanford $ flows more freely than KEM $. Another reason Raboin wants to stay at augie?

Is this (Jackson) like when the ob-gyn told us the baby would be another boy when he knew we wanted a girl? Then our daughter was born (Raboin)?
Or is it like when we got excited that DeBoer was a finalist and then Schweigert was hired?

From the UND announcement of Faison’s retirement :
Faison led UND Athletics from triumph to triumph during his tenure, most recently with four sports programs winning Big Sky Conference championships in 2016-17 – the most titles captured by any conference school in one year.
The cherry on top of the sundae of success was Faison’s peer designation as the 2016-17 Under Armour Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Director of the Year.
Faison retired December 2017
Coaches were Schweigert, Berry, Jones, Brewster and Pryor.

It was sent out to whoever has the spaces in their names. Multiple emails went out with the survey link and meeting info.
Why would this statement of fact deserve a downvote?
