He is over thinking. I have never had a problem with the Sioux stuff. It's a name. But they agreed to get rid of the name. By not picking a new name.... You are perpetuating the use of the old name. Simple as that. No racism or anything involved in that.

....TL;DR Without a new name in place... The old one will be used by people. Nothing racist about that.

By having no nickname UND would be essentially encouraging the use of the old one. Plain and simple. They will get a new name.... And you folks will complain... And then you'll get over it and come up with new cheers and what not.

NDSU has a stable of horses in the backfield. My only concern in offensive and defensive lines. Who cares if Bohl is gone.... NDSU has had plenty of coaches be successful following other good ones.
