It's amazing how quickly Kessel cooled off, at one point he was outscoring everyone else by 15 points and had almost 10 more goals than everyone and seemed like a lock for the Hart Trophy. He always has been a streaky player I guess.

I wonder what the scholarship situation will be with the transfer goalie. Dell will be a scholarship goalie for sure, and maybe Saunders and Gothberg will split a scholarship the first year or something. If Dell is here next year neither will be seeing the ice much, but the year after those two should both see significant playing time.

Does this mean the games will be streamed live on fightingsioux.com if you have purchased Premium?

Awesome, just great.

I totally agree, anyone who has ever played sports knows how hard it is to watch your team play without you. It is even worse watching your team struggle and knowing you can be the difference maker to help the team get over the hump.

Also this injury could be more than 6-8 weeks. He is going to rest for that time period and after that, if it is not healthy, he will need surgery. He doesn't say in the video how long he would be out if surgery is needed.
-
Watching this video makes me want to watch Rocco even more, it gets me excited when he emphatically says, "I haven't even been close to 100% this year". He was the best player on the ice in parts of the Minnesota game, I can't wait to see what he can do when he is 100%.
-
Brad's twitter post said it was the same knee injury as before.
-
Can I assume correctly that the reason for the extended injury time is that he now required surgery? I can't think of any other reason why he would need this much more time off. If my assumption is correct then I believe the injury was indeed mishandled, he could have had surgery over a month ago.

I was extremely optimistic that the season would turn around starting this weekend, not so much any more. Too bad for Rocco, this will be two straight World Juniors teams that he should have been a part of, but wasn't.
-
What is going on with Rocco? Did he all of a sudden need surgery or something? How do you go from playing in a game slightly injured to being out 6-8 weeks during a 2 week rest period?
-
Not sure which episode you are talking about but in the most recent one, which came out earlier today, Rocco was wearing a black jersey that corresponds to being on a line with Parks and MacMillan . He is also wearing full pads in every shot.

My parent's are season ticket holders as well, so I have been to quite a few games and this was my first thought as well, the incline is too flat making it so the majority of the spectators have to look through the glass in order to view the game, which I do not like. It is an extremely nice building that Bemidji should be very proud of, but in my opinion it is not the greatest venue for viewing a hockey game.

He reminds me alot of Justin Schultz, but a better/faster skater. I was surprised at how fast he is.

This is the first time I have seen Schmaltz play, wow is he smooth. I haven't seen him really rush the puck, but never panics when he gets at the point and is a very good distributor on the PP.
-
Quote from Slightly Chilled Blog, "Nick Schmaltz, when he makes his debut, will also become the youn gest player in the USHL this season an title previously held by Force forward Blake Clarke, who was also named to represent Team USA at the Youth Olympic Games."
-
Pretty big trade in the USHL today, Jordan Schmaltz traded to Green Bay for multiple players. Green Bay is on the of the better teams in the USHL so look for Schmaltz to continue to have a big year offensively. Also of note, I am not sure if this was planned before the trade but Nick Schmaltz will join the Gamblers as well, not sure when he will start with them.

He needs to find some consistency, as does everyone else on this team. All the players have flashes of good and bad, what this team lacks right now is that our top players are not consistently great. Knight has been great on faceoffs, but him Nelson and Kristo have been too quiet the last few games.
-
I would assume its the same injury, Schlossman said injury setback which I think is implying that it was his knee again
-
In practice Grimaldi and Nelson were together on a line and Kristo and Knight were still together, with Grimaldi out will Nelson move back up with Knight and Kristo?
-
I am also saying no, I don't expect him to play for any NCAA team, by the way he is progressing it will be straight to the NHL after being drafted.
-
Read this article, Colten St. Clair has the attitude and drive that I want every current and future Sioux player to have, honestly how many players in his situation would stick it out this year, its not like this kid has no future in hockey, if he would have had a solid year this season he very well could be have been a late round draft pick as an overager. He will be a great 4 year player for us.
-
Has anyone else noticed how good Knight is at looking off defenders and firing no-look passes and shots, if you re-watch his goal from Saturday he looks to pass to Nelson and fires a no-look shot at the net, the goalie didn't even react because he thought he was going to pass. Also his assist on Nelson's goal in Madison, watch the replay on "Through These Doors" he looks to the point and fires a 20 ft. no looker to Nelson for a tap in.
-
Looks like Chay is starting to heat up, 4 points in his last 2 games and is now Houston's leading scoring defenseman.
-
"Obviously, it's a must win game"-Danny Kristo, I hope the rest of the team has the same mentality as him tonight.
