Romo's is the best! Holy smokes their smothered large burrito dinner is killer! It is huge with chips, salsa, and unlimited soda for around $10. The bigger part of the conversation with Lou Nanne had to do with the proposed legislation by the Big 10 hockey conference to the NCAA. It is on limiting the age to 20, or two years after graduation to enter college hockey or risk losing a year of elgibility if you enter older. It is on College Hockey News and it deserves its own thread on this forum if somebody wants to start one with the link. ( I'm too old to figure out how to do that ) Nanne stopped short of calling Lucia an idiot because it would be detrimental to the niche sport that college hockey is. Nanne did however call the proposed plan ridiculous ( his own words ) to the success of college hockey. Apparently at the April coaches meeting the proposal had been rejected by a vote of 49-11 but the BIG 10 has since gone forward and submitted it. I don't like the cheer. Wouldn't do it in front of my girls, my sister, my mother, my grandmother, or any of yours. More so, I feel it is more a reflection of the the hurler of the cheer and not the intended target. I can't recover the stone after I throw it. Not perfect here, been there done that, just trying to move onward and upward. Some bumps in the road of my life have led to more careful introspection. But, we remain a free people.

A little research shows #9 with 40 penalty min. through 8 games this season. Correction: last season had 30 min. in 42 games and no majors.

Was this Cags second 5 min. major this season, which has now resulted in a suspension? I also seem to recall at least one last season. Hopefully not an over aggressive and reckless trend developing with him. Better competion will put the goals up on the board against the Sioux.

I follow them a bit on wccha.com. I have them at 8-0 with a +32 goal differential. Seems like they are taking care of business at hand for a second year club.

Force roster was posted today, minus Cakebread. Friday the Force host Sioux recruit Jackson Keane and the Sioux City Musketeers. Also on the Sioux City roster to watch is the 16 year old Finnish prospect Tolvanen.

I do not see Christian Cakebread on the Fargo Force roster. Anybody see if he caught on with another club?

Personally, I love the sport. My son was on the first team ( Grand Cities Predators ) that started playing here three years ago. It's fast, physical, and wicked all at the same time. Like hockey, if your unfamiliar with it to start with, you really need to be in attendance to appreciate the skills and hand-eye coordination needed to be successful. I wish UND would fund it but realize that is not likely.
