I think Marto has played well. I don't know I have seen almost every game this season and I think he is fine. LaPoint has been unimpressive this season in my opinion.

Who do you take out, when Chay come back he is on the blue line. Gleason has been pretty good, MacWilliam is a monster and plays against the other teams top lines with Chay out. Blood is doing well and Lapoint and Marto are coming out.

The problem in the USA is hockey is a Niche sport and most of our country men and women for some reason would rather basketball. I myself wouldn't walk across the street to watch a basketball (college, professional, highschool) unless my daughter was playing.

I went to the Sioux Boosters the other day and what caught my ear was Hak's comment about the second half run. Hum! I am thinking that the coaches are going to ramp it up. There is no time like the present.

I wonder if Hakstol ever runs his practices like Blaiser, seems some of the guys could use some discipline as this.

I think the loss of Genoway has cost us 2-3 losses during the first half. If Chay travels to DU I think we win one of those games and if Chay was in Duluth I think we win the 2nd game. IMHO, taking Genoway out of the line up is like loosing a Garrett Roe or a ________ insert star player from random team. I thought there were a few things that UND looked reallygood doing last night. Think about this Per the chat last night Schlossman said: They are playing against a team that has first and second round draft picks on the third and fourth lines. I also thought Marto was flying last night and is going to break out during the second half of the season.

I thought Trupper, Hexy and Malone played awesome. Can we say top line right now? (without Kirsto). I thought all of the goals were tough and I don't fault our tenders. Is it my imagination or is Dell one of the bigger goalies to wear a Sioux jersey in a long time? I also like his positioning a lot.

Here is the way I look at it. The Fighting Sioux just played the best American players aged 17-20 in Hockey and did well against them for three periods of hockey. Not to mention we had three of our better players out of the line up as well. Lots to be possitive about.

I find it funny that they want to crack down on hooking, holding and obstruction, hits to the head and what not and then all the leagues but the WCHA seem to have gotten the message. Like I said before they just have to bann WCHA officals from working the NCAA tourney games until they get it right. It would be interesting to see what Paul Kelly has to say about all of this?

Sicatoka you know and I know that the WCHA officials aren't going to change till the NCAA TELLS them point blank to cease and desist. Until then they aren't going to change. The WCHA has the worst officating in college hockey and while other leagues have worked to improve the WCHA is going by the Status quo, it will not change until the NCAA stop letting these bafoons from the WCHA officate NCAA tourney games. It starts at the top with the WCHA leadership or lack there of. The ECAC actually hired a former NHL official to ref their games, yet we have officials that couldn't ref in the house league in Canada. Best start would be to fire Bruce McLeod as the Commish of the WCHA, Head of officials Greg Sheppard should be gone too, take Todd Anderson, Don Adam and Jon Campion. Take the WCHA office out of Denver University and move it to a central location. That is what I would start with. I also think the NCAA should have their officials answer to USA hockey.

Chay has always reminded me a little like Jason Blake. Blake isn't very big. We will see in the future.

This is the mind set that really gets stuck in my craw. Since Genoway plays for UND some seem to think that UND brings it on themselves and had it coming. Yet UND hasn't had a figthing Major in two seasons.
