There is a thing called principles and not succumbing to the Political Correctness cabal. There are many of us that think standing on principles is more important than giving in to a shake down. This is why I would rather see a ND person in charge of UND than someone that has no emotional connection to the University than a pay check. Let me just say that I am less than impressed with President Kelly to this date. In my opinion I haven't seen enough of Faison to make a judgment. My first impression of him is he is a numbers guy X,O's and really has no emotional connection to the name and doesn't get the tradition of the Fighting Sioux name.

i think the reality is that Minnesota, Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin are the attractive schools of the Big ten when it comes to hockey but PSU and OSU probably wouldn't draw as much as a game with SCSU, UMD, MIAMI U et al. It sounds more like a losing deal to me. Also, isn't s OSU the one that is doing all of the whining about not getting to play Minnesota and Wisconsin?

The problem is that they were hired to do a job, they have no connection to the Fighting Sioux name or the University of North Dakota other than this is the institution that is sending them a pay check every week. I don't care what they say no matter what empty platitudes they use, the "BRUTAL REALITY" is That UND Fighting Sioux just a name to them because the have nothing invested in it, the probably also see the name FIGHTING SIOUX as an impediment to their cause.

Not quite as impressive as BSU who has something like 13 national championships in D2 and D3. 13 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1973, 1979, 1980, 1984, 1986, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1997 I mean obviously their titles aren't division one titles but they aren't some second rate program either. I think BSU will bring a lot to the table.

Mankato has never finished top three nationally before. I don't think they have won a NCAA tourney game before either.

I played in the Galen Nagle golf tourney in Bemidji last Friday and BSU head coach Tom Serratore is a class act, great guy. When I was leaving the banquet after the tourney he personally thanked me for playing in their tourney, I said, no thank you for letting me play. I ended up talking to him for a bit and he said he wished UND and BSU could play four times a year. I bet it would be fun to play hockey for a guy like him, he is intense and an energetic person. BSU is in good hands same with UNO.
