As I and Millsy have mentioned in an earlier post, all the tickets have been sold out for the most part back in June and this event is going to a big deal. In the old days you could always you could always get tickets from someone. You might be able to buy them for an over inflated price. The reason this ticket is so hard to get is that It's the opening of the new BREC (I think they are going to call it the Bob Peters ______ Arena or something liek that). This is also the Beavers first ever WCHA conference game. The BSU alumni are supposed to be coming back in force to Bemidji for the new arena opening as well. Every one that I have talked to has no extra tickets, believe me I asked quite a few people that have tickets in Bemidji and no one has extras. The game will be on TV though in Minnesota so one could watch the game in a bar...

It would seem odd that a AD would care what people, more specifically fans of a specific team are saying on a message board. I am not against message boards I think they are great but you would think that most AD are "above the fray."

Can we say super conference in division one hockey? Maybe conference could be ruled irrelevant and big time match ups the norm? I think anything is possible. I do think a realignment is coming in the future.

I am surprised we haven't heard that Iowa and Purdue are going division one in hockey...

Notre Dame has been asked numberous times about joining the Big Ten and they have said no. I think the Big Ten hockey conference would kill the CCHA, I think the WCHA would thrive. Also, I think if the big ten happened I think you would see a realignment of college hockey. Think about it this way, you put those teams in the same conference you're going to have every game as a head knocker, something would have to give. OSU is going to suck more than they do now if they are in the big ten conference. Penn State is going to have trouble competing with the likes of Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin and MSU.

Damien Cox should stick to covering the NHL and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

I live in Grand Forks but rarely drive by the Alerus Center so it was the first time I noticed it. I also noticed they have a new football sign on the south side of the building.

Did they REPAINT the Alerus this summer? It now appears to be green.
