I don't get all the angst thats pointed at Hammer. It's not like the guy is a huge homer that knows little about the game of hockey. He's well prepared when he shows up for the game. Personally, I think he does a very good job calling football and hockey games. Actually, he's one of the better football announcers I have heard on TV for small time college sports. I also watched last night's game on my iPad. He did fine. I enjoyed the broadcast. Both hosts and Kaite were well prepared. I can imagine it takes a lot of work in your off time being able to be proficient at play-by-play for both sports. Hammer knows his hockey inside and out. It's fun listening to some of the things he has to say. Hammer is a nice person. He doesn't deserve some of the guff he takes from the fans.

I think that if Blais didn't coach UNO, this series would be a lot different.

Tomek's injury has taken longer to heal than anyone would have thought. If you go back and watch this week's presser, Coach Berry explained the situation pretty well. For Tomek to play in a game, he has to practice all week. It looks like that finally happened. I imagine the next step is probably some relief duty or a spot start. he also has to prove that he's better than Matt first.

That was part of my plan. I used reverse psychology. I just didn't it would actually work. I went to bed last night with a smile on my face. UNO swept and C.C. did UND a solid.
