I played in the Galen Nagel golf tourney this past summer and they had the NSCC trophy on display in the registration tent. I would think that there's some prestige in winning that cup. It's nice to see the Gophers lose that tourney, kind of rub it in where it hurts.

It won't happen, the Big Ten Officials will allow it to slide. They can't have their money maker missing a key players as Big Ten Play begins.

Actually they received a goal from from another line this afternoon. Per Schloss... Michigan State 1, UND 1 -- Joel Janatuinen (Tucker Poolman, Johnny Simonson) 13:03. Simonson wins the puck along the end wall to Poolman, who pinches in along the right side wall. Poolman sees Janatuinen cutting to the net and makes a perfect saucer pass and the Finn scores his first-career goal.UND 2, Michigan State 1 -- Drake Caggiula (Nick Schmaltz, Tucker Poolman) 14:03. Schmaltz enters the zone with the puck and is being hooked, but fights it off, maintains possession of the puck, draws two defenders and dishes to Caggiula, who has a lot of net to shoot at. Caggiula buries it for his third of the weekend.

WHOOPS. Score UND. X2 Janatuinen and Caggiula.

Just for the record, I do like the idea of the NSCC. I wish UND had something like this.

We really "need" to have all of UND's games on DirecTV.

He wants to be able to pluck recruits from other teams if it suits his needs. If he starts doing that, there's nothing to stop other teams from doing it to him.

I didn't say it was negative, per se, I just said he was on message.... He spit out conference talking points. I would be surprised if this proposal gets through... It all boils down to the Big Ten not being happy about their current status in college hockey.

In the pregame, Tim Hennessey asked Michigan State head coach Tom Anastos about the B1G's new proposal. Of course, Anastos puked out the B1G's talking points. We are pushing 18-year olds out of college hockey, blah, blah... To be honest with you, I would rather they just say, "we're butt hurt because we can't dominate college hockey. Donny Lucia wanted us to back up his stupid proposal because he's still mad about his team getting their asses kicked against Union in the Frozen Four."

I don't' see much of a benefit of playing in the B1G aka the big 6 hockey conference.

While we're on this point, I think UND's upside is higher than SCSU's. UND fans, I think we have a lot to be excited about.

I think the 11 freshmen is the reason/root for some of UND's problems.

Secondary scoring is a big concern. I am more concerned about the PK and PP.

I think the Huskies nickname is offensive to dogs.
