Come on Scott we can't golf everyday all day. In case you haven't looked outside the weather is nice and not a snow flake anywhere in sight. In other words boredom set in. Why not. The point was the cockiness of the Gopher fans and their media or what ever.

Whats funny is that Handy seems to think that this is a POI, you took a wrong turn Handy, this site is a UND Fighting Sioux sports site to include UND hockey. The that your referring to is a post, and in this post was an analysis of an opponents web page. This web page had some stupid things about UND. The ironic and funny thing about these alegations was that none of these posts had a person being credited for that information. I think that is questionable to push this off as journalism. Some media guy said. Hum...

Check this stuff out. I found it on the substitute POI site, here is the link http://cotnerfamily.com/GPLMB/viewtopic.php?t=125 Looks like the cockiness has returned... (First off), I doubt Blaiser would say that to the media about his goalies... And does anyone know the name of that reporter? Probably not. (2nd) Waaaaa, to FSN, what a second rate crappy network anyways: what are they mad that REA doesn't/didn't bow down to them, black it out who cares. (3rd) Donnie better worry about beating UND first before he worries about beating Michigan... By the way Donny UND beat Michigan too last season. Infact quite a few teams did... Lastly, who was the UND athletic deparment spokes person for this tasty rumor? Notice there is no name posted to that one. I am sure its a reliable source, what did they get that one from Vivian Nelson of http://www.UND-Fraud.com It sounds like some of her work.

Actually it was in the Heraldo this spring. I just don't remeber the date.
-
They are for now, but look for them to be gone by the end of Pre season. Really honestly you can't expect Blaiser to keep 5 goalies. Three is a good number...
-
The list will probably look like this Brandt Clipboard. Parise and Ziggy one two punch... Gone Ranfranz and Sofie...

Goaltending. But also, the class of 2005 needs to arrive. Some of them have shown flashes of being great only a few have really contributed, Bochenski, Massen, Jones, McMahn, Fuhr, Schnider have been the biggest contributers. However, they need to step up and make some more noise.

Yeah your right, the dirty Badgers aren't coming to town this season.

Article that refers to Roche's future
Goon replied to If only we had Belfour's topic in Men's Hockey
I think Ryan would have made a difference last year if he would have stayed, and I was sad about that loss. I don't blame these kids for taking the money, college will be there when they get done with hockey. Heck if you had told me I would make 300,000 to 500,000 to leave college early hell I would be gone... -

Handy this is what is kind of known as the great unknown. Will they stay or will they go, UND fans have had some sad moments during the summer in years past, Commie, Bryan Lundbohm and others. Will the money be there, what will they be offered. I am sure a few of these kids have some big decisions coming up in the future, word has it Pauly Martin is being pressured to sign with NJ. On a side bar: I noticed that Bryan Lundbohm didn't get resigned by Nashville. I look at Bryan's decision to go pro as a big mistake, sure I am biased. As for Bayda I had a feeling he would be gone, his play this season only proves that he was ready for the next level. Vanek's situation is a little different than others from past years. The kid is a stud and can play in the NHL I am that confident. I also hate the Sabres (Bruin's Fan) so nothing will change for me here... -

Handy maybe you didn't say it specifically, however, there was a giddyness among Gopher fans this was rather apparent right after the dirty Gophers won their second NCAA title. There were all of these Gophers fans talking about how they weren't going lose anyone, not a single player (which is arrogant to assume) add to that, there is also a theory how the Gophers are going to hanging a third banner with relative ease. I also think UND is going to have something to say about that... With Martin and Vanek the Gophers are a good team, with other either or both things really get evened up... Remember the Gophers have goal tending on par with UND. Take a few of Defensemen out of the question who know what could happen... Let me say this UND and UofM will both be good. I don't think there is going to be much of a difference between the two teams. I don't care what opposing fans think. The other day I talked to a WCHA assitant coach that said he thought Vanek would be gone. Thats pretty bad if even the oppostion coaches are saying that Vanek will be gone, you guys really are in a daze after winning a couple of NCAA titles. -
I don't see it that way, the two walk-ons are going to be a non factor, gone there is no reason to keep them hanging around. I am sure both are nice kids but team sucess should come first... Honestly, I might be wrong, but I think Brandt is going to be hard pressed to be the starter, here is why I say that. Jake the best stastically of the goalies last season, ended up sitting in the stands at times, Blais kept coming back with Josh when Jake was definately the stronger of the two goalies. I begining to wonder if Brandt doesn't have an attitude problem. Brandt is adequate and just as strong as Weber of the Gophers but I just don't they can win a title with Jake... If Jordan has Zach's attitude I think he could be a welcome addition to the team. Last winter I sat in Famous Daves with down in Fargo and with a couple of UND fans and over a couple of beers wondered why Blaiser didn't give the Former Grand Forks Red River Goalie Nate Ziggleman a try, I said he couldn't do any worse than the goalies we have now, I guess that thought/Wish came ture...

Also while the paper might say that Ranfranz and Sofie are coming back, look for both of them to get cut in the pre-season workouts/tryouts, what ever they call it. So it looks like Jake is going to have to earn himself a seat on the bench this season. Interesting.

I hope Dahl doesn't think SCSU is a top program like Michigan...

I personally think that Buffalo is going to sign Vanek to a nice deal. I think some Gopher fans are sweating/shaking in their boots that Vanek is going to sign. I mean really. Some fans of certain team's can beg all they want and these people can talk all they want about not losing certain players but really it all comes down to money. I hate this time of year because it is when players start annoucing they are not returning to school and are signing pro contracts. I really am excited about UND hockey this fall. But hey, I can wait...

Good for Zack but I can't cheer for the Devils (it makes my skin crawl, kind of like cheering for the rodents) and it also is almost as bad as cheering for the dirty Habs. One of the main reason is that I am a Bruins fan.

Actually I can't believe that we are arguing recruits before they have even played one game/shift. Don't some of you guys play golf or fish, yesh. I actually think UND's recruits are/should be as highly reguarded but haven't got as much press because MPLS is a big time media market, and it is all about the Goofers. Also, why should UofM fans care how many goalies UND has on its roster, maybe they would like to add Siembieda to theirs. I think UND is going to do its talking on the ice this next season, frankly I hope they sweep the dirty Gophers at the REA so I don't have to hear how REA is Marry-ucci north. I also believe that Murray, Bochenski, Parise should/could be the next line of fire they could be about a 100-250 point line. But you know what I don't care what some fan from south of here thinks of the goalie situation or our coach or our team. 7 is still > 5...
-
Not to mention that MSU-M couldn't score a goal even handed. I think UND will go forward and Minny will drop off a bit. You heard it here first UofM will not win the NCAA title a third time in a row. I think UND and others are going to have a thing or two to say about that...
-
Just having fun, I guess I could have done the 7 > 5, he,he,he...

Gall Darn it, I was hoping Hammy and HANDY-man would have commented on my post. I also had one about Vanek and what pro team he is going to... I honestly don't think Hammy is too bad most of the time he seems logical and non-offensive in the whole grand sceme of things there are more offensive UofM fans: Yellow Turd is the first that comes to mind, Happy (I need prozac is second) and a few others. I wouldn't throw him off of the site for a non-Sioux opinion.

I think it is stupid, personally I think the guy is whinning if you ask me. IF he doesn' t like it he can stand up all game in his living room. Its pretty plain and simple and cut and dried, sit down or have your student seats moved. No offense if I had one of them over priced luxary box and I paid 25,000+ a season or what ever they pay I would like to be able to see the game. The almight dollar is going to win out... Lastly being a student doesn't give one a birth right to stand up the whole game. Chearing obsenities all though funny is not socially exceptable. The reason I say this is that I many times last season looked over to see some moron(s) standing and not even watching the game, they were socializing and I doubt they were intimidating the opposition very much. Stand on break aways and after goals, cheer as loud as possible but have some common courtesy for other people around you, the people in the sections over cant see if you stand all game and really they did pay more for their seat than you did. Stand during the intermission but sit the hell down when the puck is moving, you can cheer sitting in your seat.

I actually made that statement for a reason I actually went fishing and no one bit...

I think it is interesting that UND indian studies have not one member of the Sioux nation teaching in the department. I also find it interesting that we have so many white people telling natives how to feel and what they should think. Incidently when a native American writer/scholars comes forward in support of the name they are called sell outs and other names. Incidently here is a post from a white student at UND, this was taken from http://www.vastlane.org in case you haven't been there it is a left wing leaning site. The very logic this person is using is flawed. Dr Yeagley's message is not popular with the left wing because he basically tells people to empower themselves and not be to be victims. I see no flaws in that kind of logic. It seems alright with me.
