If you want to be technical, Hakstol never won a title, either. So, what's the point? Berry has. I think people have short memories; people actually wanted Dave Hakstol fired, because he had never won an NCAA title. I remember right before Hak went to Philly; I went on the radio with Jarroad Thomas to have this very discussion. He was calling for Hak's head if he didn't win a title. He asked how long before he's fired.

I don't know anyone that doesn't want to see the UND hockey team win another title, but reading tweets on X, I think some need to grab some perspective. The University isn't going to fire Berry after he's won four of the last five Penrose Cups. I saw one person tweet that maybe Berry will finally get canned.

Berry was in charge of recruiting when Hakstol was the coach. So that kind of negates your argument. Also, UNDer Berry, the team has landed many top-of-the-line recruits.

I bet a coworker a pizza that UND beats NDSU this season. I am hoping I don't have to buy him a pizza on Monday.

I was at that game tonight. It was a lot of fun. Evan Holm and Brady both play for the Blue Bombers. I’d recommend going to a game. It was a lot of fun.

Why? People still might want to have a discussion on the game.

At the beginning of the season I predicted a 4-8 season. I plan on eating my words. I believe after watching the first 4 games, they're ceiling is higher than that. They're not elite, but they're not bad either. I've had fun watching this team. There are a lot of young players on this team. A win is a win. I think they will have to take it up a notch if they want to have a chance against the three Dakota schools.

Apparently, you didn't get the memo, we need to be negative. No positive thoughts. In all seriousness, I had a hell of a good time watching this game, it didn't hurt that I had a few beers. Who cares if we only won by 17 points. The run sets up the pass. The Hawks took over in the second half and wore down the opposition. It might not be pretty, but they were affective. Reading Schloss's article, a few things stuck out for me. I kind of like this game plan, it won't change until Bubba is gone. He like to run first and pass second.

Maybe there is an argument for parity in college football on the FCS level.

Not really no. I think if anything, UND should be promoting the hell out of the football team. They should be all over the new facilities for football. The Hawks have seven home games this year. That's a pretty big deal.

Question: Is Iowa State that bad or is UND going to be decent? I could see SDSU beating ISU.

Yeah, that's a good point. Why hasn't UND played the Ugly Helmets in a two-games series since the 1980's. I know @MafiaMan is a big-time Michigan fan and would probably travel to Ann Harbor, Michigan to see a series.

If you listen to the UND hockey podcast, Schloss mentioned that some of these kids take their time committing. Last season, UND had a few commits after the early junior year signing period.
