I'm a little worried about the recieving corps in general. Belmore does a great job but I'm suprised he doesn't have a little more in the storeroom than he does. Caleb is battle tested but he limped off the field saturday...haven't heard any more about that...Grossman is talented but just a little too small I think. Groeschl has some potential but he hasn't shown me anything special yet. Anyone heard anything about Trenbeath since his BB injury? If he was back at full strenght...maybe he's a guy they could pull the RS off and see what he could do. He is a great athlete...even as a freshman...

I laughed too...It's just typical Fargo/NDSU arrogance!! That "minor league" seemed fine when they won their national championships. They act like they so dominated the competition they HAD to move up - again - NDSU hasn't won ANYTHING in that minor football league in 15+ years! also got news for Lou...AA is the MINOR LEAGUE of Division ONE football...Valpo proved to be Alpo! The Sioux clearly were playing it conservative...but that's their style. Overall - the O was about was we expected and JB did make a few more bad decisions than I thought he would but bottom line - they did enough and bought enough time (Thanks Adam R!) to keep Delta's POTENT offense off the field. The D was about or more than what we expected. (I thought the pass coverage was, on a whole, above average. Manke had several big plays) I won't even comment on Digger. His play stands by itself. That guy is the most focused, smart D linebacker UND has seen for while....and considering who they've had in the last few years...that says a LOT!

Saw Dale Lennon, Tim Belmore, and Mike Mansausau at the GF Central game tonight...and I'm guessing they just weren't killing time waiting for Delta Saturday. Central is loaded with very good athletes....Chappelle, Marto, et al. Me thinks they're mining some local talent and good for them. UND should cultivate local kids! It's great to see a ND-centered University looking for in-state kids to succeed on the collegiate level rather than a self-centered (AA) university looking for any advantage they can get to make up for their (former) DYNASTY status...

Don't think that's true. When the arena was announced, REA officials said it would be payed for entirely with revenues from the Ralph and "anticipated" revenues from basketball. We'll probably never know if the Engelstad family kicked in any money for it but they certainly didn't pay for it all. I do know an alumni funddrive payed for the upgrade to leather seats - a nice addition than was not planned for in the original layout.
