If you wondered why John B sucked last week against Delta...strained lat muscle on his throwing arm. The coaching staff kept a lid on it before the game (although Belmore was ready to come in there if needed) Belmore had the start this week vs. Mesa locked up early but no one noticed at practice this week. Kudos to Chris on a great debut!! You could almost seem his nerves evaporate after the first completion against Mesa - from there he chopped them up like liver on a plate. That bodes well for UND in QB depth!! ALSO - congrats to Drew T on his first TD!!! Rog was absolutely beaming after the game!!

Fortunately the Big Sky has REASONABLE administrators who realize the limitations of the conference and they don't want the added expense of flying teams back and forth to the eastern edge of a marginally SUCCESSFUL division one AA conference - that could weigh EVERY conference member down financially! They'll take the "letters of interest" and promptly file them in the CIRCULAR file...and go back to negotiating with schools in a reasonable, geographical sphere of competition. FACE IT - no one is asking NDSU to join...you're begging them!!! Have fun in the Great Worst!

NO real Sioux guy is going to "RIDE NERD...sorry HERD" on this forum...lets duke it out!...as I recall..."those" guys were giving us crap about playing a DI Sport with only "a few real competitive" teams...hmmm Seems like the HUGE WORLD of division one AA FB is also made up of the haves and have nots...Valpo was CLEARLY a HAVE NOT....(geez...get one scholarship at least! ) and the AWESOME HISTORICAL VICTORY was, in fact, nothing more than a scrimmage against a traveling version of MSU-Moorhead. I sincerely hope division one AA has more quality than that...because a team theat can't even cross the 50 YARD LINE against 3rd teamers is REALLY EMBARRASSING!! At least UND plays REAL Division I teams in our premier sport like Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Michigan St...et al AND ARE COMPETITIVE! You guys can only dream of games like that... I don't...Owen Nitz is running Ralph's business end now (MAJOR Vegas TAN and all! - geez..he looks like a Soprano )...he helped out TRF with another check for a "mere" $300,000 and an admonishment to "not ask for any more...". UND got the Ralph and a certain "manager" pushed the Betty forward from there (mostly to make his OWN name in my opinion but that's ANOTHER THREAD ) Fact is...we'll never know the true financial picture but the facilities are here., bought and (mostly) paid for...NOW..it's up to US to make them a success!
