This isn't about my feelings. It just doesn't make sense. We've been hearing about the demise of Grand Forks since before the 1997 flood and yet, Grand Forks is still here.

I don't want to "boom" like Fargo; that is too much growth at once. If you are correct, then we will have a ton of new infrastructure and fewer people to support it. I don't like that proposition.

All that growth on the south end has to be for some reason. Is it so ghosts can find affordable places to live?

The Moon might do better in a different location (Columbia Road) where it is easier to get to from our two major event hubs (REA, Alerus Center).

That's on the NWS, not the Mayor of Grand Forks. And forecast models are much improved today, so if the same event happened today, the crest prediction would be much more accurate.

Like our other programs with new head coaches (FB and WBB), this team will have some early growing pains and will encounter some bumps in the road. But like those other programs, this team will get better as the season goes on. It will be fun to watch. -
