As for putting them in position to be successful, that is sometimes open to debate (like the 4th down play on our own 20 vs. NDSU last year). This team is showing signs of significant progress, but until they can put together a consistent performance on the road, they won't go far in the FCS playoffs, if they qualify.
Yeah, agree with you here. The Sioux Falls home loss in 2009 did a lot of damage to the reputation of the program. So did all those blowout losses in 2013.
I think you have to put your best athletes in important positions. And kickoff returns are important. I think it is worth the risk.
