Need to stick with the run. Our O line should be able to impose our will. Negative yard screen plays aren’t the answer.

So will the team whip out the infamous grey helmets for this game or same them for the Bison game a week later? Either way, I hope they pair them with their current grey pants and a throwback jersey like they used to have.

We had about a month of night games when the Alerus Center opened in 2001. They were well attended. But Dale Lennon kept bitching about not liking night games and pretty soon we were back to 1pm ad nauseum. A lot of other coaches make night games work all the time, so there is no reason why we can't do it again.
I always liked the night games. Should definitely bring them back. But only for the first couple home games. I remember tailgating at a November game back in the day and it was dark and below zero. That was miserable. But early fall night games would be great!! Have to do it before hockey starts.

The current grey pants seem a little darker than the helmets. But, the stripe matched up. Will be interesting if they use them together. Either way, I really hope they don't use them with the current greens. Need a new green jersey. Revealing them on Oct 14th would be a great idea!!

Chaves is a coward. UND has spent a lot of time and money trying to promote the new Fighting Hawks brand for the University. Literally EVERY athletic program is on board and proudly wears the logo on their jerseys, their apparel they wear to and from games, etc. But the hockey program gets a bye. Why? Because Armcoast, Chaves, Hodgeson, Berry, etc are afraid of upsetting the "Sioux Forever" crowd. Chaves, grow a pair and get the hockey program on board with the Fighting Hawks name and logo. Just pathetic that this continues to happen. It's been 7 years since the logo was introduced and longer for the name. Its f&$%ing time!!

My point is you can't really determine the outcome of the season after one game. Half the teams will be 0-1 (baring any ties) after week 1.
