I think then US coolege hockey would more resemble canadian college hockey, more of a last chance than the path for development. More kids would opt for major junior, and the washouts would then trickle to ncaa. I believe far fewer drafted picks would end up in college hockey.

We want someone vested in North Dakota. A servant leader. A good communicator. A person with a vision and the ability to share that vision and inspire. We need someone to make donors feel as part of the family as opposed to ATMs. Someone who isnt going to use the position to increase personal power and position. Someone who can with a firm and calm demeanor facilitate difficult changes and make those effected understand the change. We need someone to be able to work with the bat crap crazy RINOs in the legislature, the Fargo focused governor, and the dysfunctional SBoHE.... not to mention the GF %gobc... and at the same time a faculty listing lefter than a ship sinking port side. This isnt going to be an easy job. At the same time it is a good job and we should expect to attract a quality field of candidates.

My concern is the "PUSH" from the CHL teams will be to dangle the "quicker" route of major junior before they can be advised fully of the potential of the college development path. The good thing is most hockey parents are rational humans who will keep their players grounded and not caught up in the false promise........
