didn’t say that , more weekend games

Yeah its just not remotely realistic.

hockey, boys basketball, swimming wrestling girls bouncyball, infrastructure, personnel, drama, debate, choir, gymnastics transportation, Sundays, weather... just pure miles......

Just a different world than EDC

but I do agree it's not fun watching kids get home at 2am go to school at 7:30 and then practice and lift after that.

    it's incredibly unhealthy

Given the caliber of DU - I for one am proud of this team.

We could’ve won both games but for some stupid reffing and dumb plays.  Take 60 seconds out of last nights game and the 5’s out of tonight’s game and we sweep DU.  It’s time to finish strong.  This was a real measure of competition and we competed.  That’s promising.

    Let’s go Sioux!

Woops, believe you ment to put this on the Facebook page.

Maybe mamma will like it for you there.

  3. There's something very toxic in the bowels of this team.

I wish I knew what it was but it's frustrating to see the staff not being able to identify and resolve.

Every player coach staff , everyone associated with the program is better than this but they don't fit together.

This is a big part of the argument of getting away with the required home and away in the EDC. Go to an independent schedule and let teams schedule the best games for their teams. MN has been doing it for years, I would think we could figure it out too.

Independent schedule as in? Fully Independent?

That ends ND high school hockey, immediately.

Small schools go to a club world or just fold. Large towns just turn into Tier 1/AAA/Club U18 programs.

That's a world that's interesting to think about.

Northstar, Sioux Falls Power, Jr Force, THA, An Academy in Bismarck maybe Minot JR Tauros? or tied into a Canadian league somehow?

Better for development but expensive and un-inclusive.

Who knows kinda of a neat convo for the next 30 rack lobby show I guess.

But I'm guessing you mean more of either a hybrid 6 point game allowance even against teams with full EDC/WDA membership or more practically a 2 tiered system for ND high school hockey.

I have not, do not, and will not believe the current structure is in anyone's best interest.

    Certainly not the kid's.

Zegras is going to chirp to the wrong guy one day. Pat Maroon and Ryan Reeves are good listeners and better amateur dentists.

He runs and turtles more than a gopher.

I bet he's a real keyboard warrior too.

Whatever he said, it will be interesting to see what happens the next time these teams play. Zegras is overrated and nobody should be surprised if we hear that he's locker room cancer.

Anaheim PR spinning it overload style... which means it's exactly as bad as they ate trying to hide, or worse.

I've never heard a good word about the guy off the ice.. or on. He's a POS.

    #20 in the pairwise.

Looking at the teams ahead of us and the comparisons we need to flip.

The comparisons with Northeastern, Sparty, and UConn will likely all flip in our favor as we have the common opponent comparison and our RPI should surpass them just based on who we play and who they play.

We can't flip the common opponent comparison with RIT but again we should just naturally pass them in RPi just based on schedule remaining.

UNO is totally in our hands to flip.

Notre Dame, we have the common opponent comparison and the RPI will come down to winning and losing as schedules are comparable.

We are losing the common opponent comparison with Tech and Mankato but Mankato is flippable with a sweep against SCSU. RPI might be a little tougher as they both play mostly top half of the CCHA to finish the regular season....losses by them would help.

Cornell could also be flipped as we have the common opponent comparison and their schedule to finish is not strong and if you mix in a bad loss we could overtake them there as well.

All this said we probably need to sweep CC and UNO and split with Denver and SCSU to give ourselves any shot of an at large bid.

That's a great breakdown. I'd say accurate... probable?..  hope so...

I was looking at GPR roster and they've got 9 seniors on what is already a small roster.  They lose their one goalie after this season as well.  Hopefully they've got some numbers in bantams.

They look to have about 6/7 from the Bantam A team moving up so hopefully they can keep the program moving on.

As stated the goalie coming up should help and there's some talented skaters.

Tough to replace the Carter kid next year tho...

A competitive tiered system would, IMHO, help them, and others, grow into or back into relevant programs.
