Polls really are a complete waste of time at this juncture. UND has huge games coming up against Southern Illinois, Missouri State, South Dakota State and North Dakota State. UND needs to just win. If UND can do that, polls will take care of themselves.

Someone a little sensitive today, huh? What was said was not wrong (ie UND is 2-1 but has several areas of concern), but you being a soft, sensitive you know what is the issue here.

I agree, Lance Leipold is a good coach. Kansas made a good decision going with a head coach who had proven track record of success as a head coach elsewhere (DIII Wisconsin Whitewater, U of Buffalo).

I’d say we stay the same with a huge opportunity to move up *IF* UND can beat Southern Illinois on the road.

Having a big head is a prerequisite to be an NDSU supporter … and it’s above the belt.

I agree - it’s not healthy to be an extremist; don’t split. So, don’t split. UND is far from the worst team in the county, but they also have a lot yet to prove. They are barely a top 25 team at this point, but there will be plenty of good teams ahead for UND to show their true colors. In fact, UND’s next two opponents look quite good (@ Southern Illinois, vs Missouri State).

In these scenarios, usually less is more. go back to how UND looked in 2001. clean cut, solid.

Yes, they do, but the top 10 FCS teams have far less improving to do as compared to UND. UND isn’t playing at a top 10 level right now. Comes down to standards- at UND, the standard is to just be okay, top 25. At this juncture, I would have hoped we (UND) we’re expecting much more. This forum is a microcosm of that evidenced by how many people are so content with UND’s 2-1 season thus far.

All comes down to who you hire. The right hire (that is, someone who has potential to leave to the FBS and not someone who is hoping to stay in Grand Forks for the rest of his life and retire …) could transform the program in just 2-3 years. It’s a moot point, though, since Bubba isn’t going anywhere; mostly due to lack of dollars (coaching salary pool is a laughing stock) and Chave’s obvious obsession with hockey thus propagating UND football mediocrity.

Tremendous individual effort on that play and he deserves all the credit. What yesterday’s win showed me - as well as the entire season thus far - is that UND needs to keep giving the ball to Bo Belquist and Tyler Hoosman. Those two players just make plays with the ball in their hands.

NDSU lost their Super Bowl … Agreed - the right team came out of Arizona with a win. Also, don’t forget, Northern Arizona beat Arizona last season …

Absolutely, every offense in America wants linemen and playmakers
