  1. UND has got burned down field in every game this season ….. so no surprise it’s happening again now
  2. This poor defense in 2022 … so porous in pass coverage
  3. Hooooosman … nice drive by Freund, Tommy and co.
  4. Oof… bad sign. They just need to wake up and start making plays. Right now, they’re half asleep.
  5. Yep pretty much. Hope he proves me wrong, but the team and plan seems flat.
  6. I will say this, not how you start, but rather how you finish. UND has done alright the past couple 4th quarters, but they need to turn it on a bit earlier than that if they can here.
  7. Bubba ball … been reliable - at least in the past - at letting us down when we even think about getting excited about UND football
  8. Coverage woes easy. Worse as it’s coming out of a timeout. Guys need to step up, including the defensive coaches.
  9. I agree. Stone is a young guy, former QB for SIU, and now saying things like SIU should be top 10 despite being 1-2? I’m sure Brian Shawn will be professional so it will be fine, but man, there could be two extreme ends of the spectrum on the same call today.
  10. Straight up prove it to us game today. It’s a toss up to me. Make me a believer, Bubba.
  11. Yep for sure. Again, the amount of resources and time put into nickname/logo defense and then re-development has hurt UND. Time to move forward.
  12. Do you think Ethan would flip given his younger brother is planning to join him in Minneapolis in a year? I’m afraid this could be a situation that UND has very little leverage in, even with a scholarship offer.
  13. These mock ups are fine, but I don’t think the logo needs a makeover, just offer a different helmet color. Albeit, if the athletic department and football program actually were willing to entertain a different logo on the alternate helmet, I’d say go ahead and try it. But I think UND has put enough effort into nicknames and logos over the past 20 years for the next 100 years. Stay as far away from nicknames and logos as possible for the near future. It’s been a waste of time and resources to say the least. Just stick with the current logo and slap it on a nice white or all matte black helmet for an alternate
  14. Health is good. Same guys available for NAU should be available for SIU on Saturday.
  15. I don’t buy it because UND media/local media have directly said there is all kinds of room around them in the press box.
  16. Bad new perspective: UND has played 3 presumably bad football teams thus far. Don’t know what UND is yet. good news perspective: UND has won consecutive fourth quarter games, including one on the road, and has a belief. They are familiar with this SIU team, that looked average to below average in their first two games. UND, if they play a disciplined game, definitely can beat SIU on the road and set up a huge matchup in the Alerus Center on Oct. 1.
  17. Again, if UND could have a collective athletic department that was unified in wanting to reach national prominence, and not more preoccupied with internal conflict (hockey vs other sports, nickname controversy, etc.) than competitive success, then I think UND athletics as a whole could be “high profile”. Unfortunately, and it is very unfortunate, all those with “little man syndrome” have a hard time with that vision. It’s obvious this is not just a UND issue, but also a greater Grand Forks cultural issue.
  18. NDSU’s constant winning has brought out the worst in many of their fans. They deserve to have 10 straight losing seasons, but perhaps I’m a bit biased …
  19. Erik comes from Roseau, he could just as well have “hockey” tattooed on his forehead. underwhelming job performance to say the least, but he’s got an opportunity in front of him to do something and improve
  20. I’ve always thought field level end zone seating needs to be developed. That would allow catwalks to be open. There are plenty of people who don’t care much about the view, albeit would have a great view when the line of scrimmage is at their respective end, but would love to have a bar set up in the end zone for social gatherings. That would also improve the horrible end zone aesthetics the Alerus currently has.
  21. I could see having assigned seating up at the catwalk if UND was selling out games, but they aren’t, so it should be open. The other option is if you have bars up on the catwalk, then maybe you market it like the clubs in the Ralph, but right now the Alerus Catwalks are no where near that. As for students, they are where they belong.
  22. This is probably a true statement. I agree with this. If UND gets behind and can’t do this, I could see a loss. But if UND offense can keep the UND defense off the field, win the time of possession and give their running back 20+ carries, that’s definitely a good thing for UND.
  23. Another example of the transfer portal not being the most perfect thing for these young student-athletes.
