I really thought after their dreadful Thur. night performance that St. Clown would come out with more jump. They didn't and it cost them. Also, they must have really adopted that umtc philosophy of living and dying by the PP. It killed them today.

When it's two teams I don't care for, this is the only way to cheer. I will also be using this philosophy for BC and umtc. Just too bad they both can't lose the same game.

Home team both games and last line change are a yes. However that doesn't mean we'll be shooting at the same end twice that the Badgers normally do. IIRC the Sioux have the right to UW's locker room as it is the home team's and we are the #1 seed. But we'll let them have it which could cause a bench switchero as far as home team bench is concerned. I believe the X switched around the benches between Thursday and Friday. EDIT: I should clarify that I'm going off what I remember from the Ralph hosting. It may also have something to do with number of locker rooms and size and all that.

We played like crap against them and they still barely won. I expect us to be better next time. Going against us is how our scoring struggles against the trap and both UW and DU use it. Going against them is the big ice makes it tougher to trap. Now all we need to do is beat Princeton.

Yes, but they really only produce the games and then sell them to other networks. I would think FSN-W (and hence FSN-M) will show the game live.

I wouldn't worry too much. ESPN syndication will sell the rights to any game not live on ESPNU. In fact I would guess that they'd even sell their live games since very few get ESPNU. Expect the regional sports networks like FSN to pick up the game.

I didn't do the hunting yet, but someone on USCHO posted that mankato has better overall, better head to head, and better conference record. Seems a good case for getting in over UW, but it won't happen.

So was it Chorney that got that boarding penalty at the beginning of our game? I'm ok with it, but I saw at least 3 umtc boarding/check from behind in the game against cc and no call.

I think it's going to create quite a mess for the committee.

Very interesting to watch the reffing in this final five. Seems like a preview of next year with a lot more calls being made. Have we ever seen so many 5x3's? And I'm ok with that. Thul is the best ref in the league and something is up when Shepherd has umtc FOUR straight games. (not saying it's a conspiracy).

We just did a survey at our high school this week and all I heard from boys AND girls was how they wanted lacrosse. It's been wanted for a few years, so hopefully it'll happen.

I was so looking forward to not having to deal with all the non hockey Gopher fans. I guess it's time to cheer for SCSU.

He reffed us at Duluth, but I haven't seen him at other games. Some Duluth fans said they had him once before. Maybe he was brought in when they went to the two referees at the beginning of the year? Then brought back when Schmidt was suspended?

I was going to point that other teams need to do this if they want to boost attendance. A co-worker told me that Minnesota does and it kinda sounded like they were hoping people would donate the money instead of wanting a refund this year.

Glad we could pull out the big win tonight. It's nice to actually score some goals. I had thought that Thul did a decent job in Duluth as well. How did some of the other games finish up? I think this is the first time that umtc was shut out in like 8 years. But maybe that happened at some point this season and I missed it.

I forgot to mention earlier, that I've never seen so many ads for the Final Five. It's almost as if they know the Gophers aren't going to make it...

I like to know who to root for in games that the Sioux aren't playing.

I want nothing more than for the Gophers to lose and be out of the NCAA's and the start would be losing the first round of the WCHA's. However, they got the one match-up they wanted and the one team they've been able to beat. They swept Mankato earlier, have they even done that to anyone else?

That was a great time. Nothing like being underage and drinking at a bar. Just took my brother there about a week ago and told him some of the crazy tales.
