once a conference get too big its inevitable that a split will happen one way or the other.... at 16 and i bet at least 4 schools are on the big10's radar of course...colorado, utah, asu, and kansas (if their fb stadium thingy gets donesy)

if the big10 (or SEC) asks.....you write whatever check you have to pay....need the invite first obviiously....i know phil knight bought oregon in but if all things are equal how the hell did oregon get in over asu (or other flagship aau schools out west....?)

scsu will be closed in ten years....and miami just plain sucks and are a better fit for the ccha (could say the same thing about duluth being a better fit for hte ccha but at least they don't suck) so what i'm saying is who should/will replace them in the near future? heck even ASU could get pickup up by the big10 (on the flip side they could then drop the other und...then it would be either HE or nchc).... and yes...wouldn't mind THE und being the 8th big 10 school.....who wouldn't

it happened as recently as 10 years ago ( do you miss d2 schools UAA, UAF, Michigan Tech?), ....with the NIL and streaming rights it'll happen again and.....soon imo

what is keeping the big 10 from taking ASU.... 5th largest market in USA aau huge enrollment and hockey to either complement notre dame or replace em....

?? you asked....there fb team was the talk of town all year.... hockey will do just fine down there no matter how much you say otherwise regardless of how well or not well fb, basketball, baseball, and volleyball do.

ASU football did what this year....went to the first game of the year....fun atmosphere for a team predicted to finish last in the big 12 (16)...

as larger schools in bigger cities come on board things will change....ASU adding d1 hockey was ballsy but in the long run it will work out well for them down there.... i feel the same for tsu...even more ballsy but it will work out fine for them in the long run imo unlv....your next

missed my point....talking about which schools people have actually heard of versus schools that people have no clue where they are.... people are more prone to watching a central michigan football game against toledo than grand valley state versus pittsburgh state ......of kansas or wisconsin-osh kosh by gosh versus mount union purple raiders. same thing with other sports....

just saying more random casual fan people would watch a unlv v asu game versus a cc v scsu game..... AND you gotta start somewhere when it comes to getting your first fix of college hockey....could be a guy with a broken foot that says it's either the princess bridge again with the wife or asu v unlv.....easy choice

goes without saying that nchc members would be full d1 hockey not acha or whatnot..... unlv will be full d1 hockey in less than 5 years.

the random person flipping thru the channels will straight up skip over cc v scsu from the bomb shelter on the mississippi (they would have no clue if this is d3 (cc) or d2 (scsu).....on the flip side if they saw a packed mullet with asu playing unlv (and instead of the word salad nchc hockey....the Western Athletic Conference rings a bell over the years) ....they might actually watch AND might actually become a fan of ncaa d1 hockey.....

what is the population of st louis and nashville again? might be the reason why the numbers are lower than expected bc scsu is slowly going out of business and hyphen schools and directional schools usually mean inferiority

drop them bc they won't be able to compete money wise...plus they don't bring a lot of eyeballs for getting more money for your streaming rights... lindenwood-st louis tsu-nashville unlv-vegas
