bemidji made to to the frozen four recently and tech has been highly ranked a few times and according to mankatos application to the nchc their d-men skate really well...that is more than can be said for western and miami has sucked bad for a couple years now... bemidji and mankato are regional / traditional rivals...much much more so than western and miami

why? less travel, tradtional rivals...and better competition. same arguments made for the mvfc/summit

i know it kills idaho to be back with isu but do you swap unc with isu to put them in the same division...unc isn't much of a travel partner for und so with seven in each division you have one outlier (und)

just like the nickname went to an alumni vote how do you think a vote would go if you had two choices mailed out...stay d1 fcs and drop a few sports or go d2 and maintain all sports currently sponsored....as shocked as I was with hawks winning I wouldn't be shocked if the vote said d2..

almost every team can say that one or two key players are dinged up but playing are or just out of action but losing cole, Austin and the other 2 d lineman was a big factor in usd gashing us...bubba still hasn't had enough time to build up some quality depth to where losing guys of these quality there is a large dropoff from those injured guys...hope all will be back in Bozeman!!!

but what if kennedy lives out there too...doesn't he have 100% power to drop whatever sports are needed to make the shortfall go away...also doesn't he have 100% to say we are going to the WAC and going FBS or on the flip side say we are going the d2 route and joining the NSIC?

like kennedy said...anything is on the table...maybe after he has his true numbers (not the ones that have been cooked) and it shows the men's hockey team loses 4 million a year he decides they should drop down to club level...anything is possible.

I like how everyone assumes its the mvfc and summit that kenndey is talking about...why isn't everyone talking about how it would save soooo much money if the old wcha is brought back (which is like the old ncc being the mvfc)...maybe that is what kenndy is talking about "conference affiliation" and maybe its why asu wasn't allowed into the nchc because the increased travel costs??? taking a bus to bemdiji, Mankato, and Houghton would save und tons of money on travel...

it is all about quality losses in fcs...haven't you heard?

its probably bc its the first game a lot of people have seen iowa play in ten years and then say to themselves..."that's pig10 football?"....no wonder the sec and pac 12 look down on them (unless its ohio state with urban)
