  1. How is plastic slicker when it's indoors? You need a lubricant (water) to make something slick. Also, the new turf styles drain *better* than grass...so there goes that argument. Bisonguy - obviously you're not including the full quote...just the part that serves you. What they say is that while grass WAS the best surface...they've made something that is *better* than grass.
  2. The DakotaDome is a tough place to play...we know. Definately don't overlook these guys they have good players @ qb, rb, and wr. Can UND come away with yet another close win?
  3. If Winona drops i think it will be NDSU-Empora, UND-Pittsburgh (2001 revenge time for Pitt??).
  4. If they didn't care about only the most devoted fans...why build all the seats? Maybe this will help: *ka-ching**ka-ching*.
  5. If it's a nice sunny day out with no wind...sure...i'll sit outside and watch...but only if it's not TOO hot. Also, either way you look at it feildturf, sprinturf, nexturf, or whatever you want to call it....it's *better* than grass in every way. Once we get every school to use this stuff we can level the playing field (literally) around the country. No more frozen tundra or mud bowls. Grass is on it's last legs (and rightly so).
  6. Human beings were not supposed to be outside this time of year. Give me artificial turf and lights, no wind whatsoever, and 75 degrees or you can forget it. I refuse to be outside in this whether.
  7. If the BCS schools leave they will get all the TV contracts...so noone will even see how the NCAA does anymore. If there are 170 football teams between what's left of A and all of AA...i think that is fine to have just 1 division 1 instead of A an AA. Lastly, if you think college sports aren't a business you're living in a dream world. College sports are about selling tickets/merchandice and winning...at all costs.
  8. Yeah they should thank him since they lost....yeah...
  9. You guys sure know how to win at the last second. Did you all go over and thank that worthless peice of trash that UNO calls a kicker?
  10. Looks like Valdosta St or North Alabama for the winner of the Midwest reigon.
  11. If the biggest and best schools leave the NCAA to start a BCS league (or whatever)...will there still be enough D1A schools left in the NCAA to have seperate D1A and D1AA classifications?
  12. Why do the people at UND want NDSU to fail as miserably as possible at the attempt to move up to D1? Is it for no other reason than they don't like NDSU? I would be happy if UND moved up to D1! It would mean we could play each other again.
  13. Running up the score HARDLY is even close to pitching at a batter's head or undercutting a bball player. The latter 2 deal with purposely trying to hurt another player. The first, however, will not physically hurt anyone. A bruised ego...maybe. I wouldn't have done it either. But hey, what can you do?
  14. I believe you've over-simplified this possible scenario by leaving out UNO. If UNO wins out, NDSU wins out, and UND only loses to UNO, ALL THREE WILL HAVE 2 LOSSES. And, as far as head-to-head goes, UND beats NDSU, NDSU beats UNO, UNO beats UND, creating a triangle. So those all cancel each other out.
  15. I'm curious how many schools move down a division in football after moving up? I don't know for sure but i bet it's very small. It's still possible to that we could move back, but now that we've committed i don't think we will put much consideration into moving back down. This is barring a major reclassification by the NCAA.
  16. If you lose to UNO it will help us to get into the play-offs as well. Your cooperation is appriciated.
  17. Mankato had a fairly good recruiting class.
  18. Technically i think Montanna would beat you 9 times out of 10. The thing is that they would also beat NDSU 9 times out of 10, we just happened to play the best game we could and they had the worst game they could.
  19. Obviously Idaho and Wyoming would be their targets although technically they would consider San Jose State because they already have Sac State.
  20. The Big Sky would be very happy to have Idaho back. That probably hurts NDSU and SDSU's chances of getting into the Big Sky. We may still start our own conference. We'll see.
  21. Big Sky is still an option for NDSU and SDSU.
