I meant a news show. Yeah GF has a station...wow....so does Minot and Bismark.
-
Ok i'm wrong then. However, i still see where it could be very easy to bend the rules for a guy like Koenig where by we are still a D2 school to a D1 school.
-
LoL! Massey ratings?! Many times i've read on here where people say "the only way to know which team is better is if they play each other". SMC has D1 fish to fry. They aren't going to schedule Ferris St. As far as the marketing ploy... the Fargo tv stations have to do double duty and cover GF since they don't have their own news. The whole point of a ploy is to make someone think something is true when it's false. The news media didn't care whether it was a ploy or not, it was news to them so they aired it. Jim...i'm no more a troll on here than "D" is on the bisonville forum. Just providing a different point of view...if you don't like it then ignore it.

Saint Mary's(d1) vs. Ferris (d2)...SM would win easy. Don't kid yourself. Also, because we played them in ***1999*** means that they are a good team in ***2004***?!?! There's some good sioux logic for you. I guess since we beat UND in 2001 that means that NDSU would have killed UND in 2004. No wonder they didn't want to schedule us. Ferris state is a fine opponent. But they aren't a "wow" opponent...which was more/less promised by UND marketing in a clever ploy to put hope that an UND/NDSU game was still possible...which was my point.

So basically they used the press conference to try and sell their fundraising stuff because they knew a bunch of people would tune in to hear if they scheduled NDSU....good marketing. The football schedule has no "wow" opponents. Ferris State? good one... So 3 out of region NC opponents and Central *Washington* got lumped into a mid-west region.

Rural population is going down because there is no money in farming, go figure. Who wants to live way out by yourself 20 miles from your neighboor anyway?
-
Luckily NDSU is a provisional D1AA next year...so he wouldn't have to sit out.
-
Wow...like i said...USD has a ton of walk ons.
-
Wow...the pot calls the kettle black once again.... everyone knows that SCSU practically gives addmission priority for drunks and crack heads.
-
Perhaps he would like to join former Fargo North teammate Andy Thoreson here @ NDSU?
-
NDSU is *supposed* to be the poor farmers and UND the rich lawyers, etc.
-
i have a hard time believing that this went down in the way ledand describs. sounds to me like the girls team was just celebrating a win...so what?
-
i wish you would have fought, would love to see the tough poor kids from the farms beat up the rich daddy's boys. I wonder how it feels to have someone with the same name as a cereal beat you up...

talk about a sore loser....

They were probably watching that game where you glide around ice with peices of metal stuck to your shoes. Some canadian thing...not real sure.

Obviously you don't, no good jobs up there unless you're in the military. UND is a good school. If you want to stay in ND and go to Med school or law school, then UND is the only option. SU is the only place if you're interested in pharmacy. Both have good business and engineering schools. However, once you have your degree, it's all about finding a job which more than likely means at the least Minneapolis.

UND pulls one off, great game.
-
I knew all of that. Was just curious if the hyslop was going to be torn down.. you say no? Ok, just asking.
-
Just curious during the game tonight is said the hyslop 19whatever it is -2004, thanks for the memories. Is the hyslop being bulldozed or what? Why not just keep it around? Unless you're going to use the space for an indoor practice facility for football or something to that effect.
-
WOW! Great game by UND again!! NDSU shows true D1 team prowess tonight @ the ralph! Next up: another humiliating anihilation of the Sioux at the hands of the Bison men. Enjoy!

Great players come from small towns. Just think how good Moe would have been if he had played in the lake conference in the twin cities.

You guys can't be serious....obviously those newspapers go the misinformation from the USD guys. Hey guess what? People make mistakes. On our own roster it says a freshman ran a 10.2 100m dash! Obviously this is a mistake, but there it is! Any newspaper reporter (esp one who doesn't know much about football) could simply use the athletic web page as a citation and print it right off there. The forum basically did it with our list. How about this at the least: it doesn't make logical sense. They only have 36 scholorships. That would mean even if they gave everyone 1/4th rides (so basically only paying for food or something like that) they would still be handing out 9 full equivalences. That leaves 27 left and they must have 80 or so guys at least on their roster. I hope you're not trying to say that everyone at USD gets 1/4 ride and nothing else. No...i won't believe that. This is just a mistake, nothing more.

All i'm saying is that he would have been better if he went to a bigger school. More competition means you get better.

I'm also saying they didn't "sign" 36. It's probably just a mistake. The website people don't know any difference.
