Ha Ha, right?! Felt like the Refs we’re trying to make amends for calling all those penalties on DU the night before.

I agree. I was surprised they both didn’t get called. JBD for a cross check and Savoie for embellishment (was it Savoie? I can’t remember).

I don’t disagree but if you watch the replay, JBD clearly had two hands on the shaft of his stick and he makes the cross checking motion and comes into contact with the DU player. From the Ref’s vantage point, I can see why he put his arm up and called the penalty but yah, it was weak as the DU player was falling and sold it as well.

It looked to me like JBD cross checked him but it also looked like Savoie was already in the process of blowing a tire and going down too so not really sure how hard he really got cross checked.

Thoughts on the Mismash collision with Chrona? (Im sure DU fans will have some thoughts on it over on letsgodu).

Yep. It’s been a pretty typical scenario on the rare occasion that CC knocks off a good team. Come out the next night either flat or playing on their heals instead of on their toes.

Having watched DU’s last two games in a row (6-1 win over CC and last night’s 4-1 win over UND), CC played scared whereas UND simply looked lethargic and apathetic.

Yah Starman has mentioned how hard he hits but you can definitely get the sense that the kid won’t hesitate laying a dirty hit on someone with how he plays. It won’t take long for him to make a name for himself.

Nothing against Caufield but man, that DU player laid him out! I think that’s the freshman they keep saying Carle says he’s the hardest hitter on the team.

For sure because you know that’ll be the one area of the game that Carle is going to address with his players tomorrow. Tomorrow will be even more difficult to win.
