I’m sure there’s absolutely zero politics involved in who Gadowsky selects for the team.

For what it’s worth, and this is just one guy’s opinion but, I was very impressed with Omaha. I thought they had some good team speed and coupled with the goaltending tandem they played this past weekend at CC, I walked away thinking they will be a tough out for everyone in the conference. I will be the first to acknowledge that CC isn’t a power house but they’re still good and this was a series where they got swept at home so that’s saying something for Omaha too. I watched the game on tv Friday but went Saturday.

My ex, who was from Bemidji, stood up, pointed at me and began laughing hysterically, which pissed these guys off even more! Calmer heads prevailed when I returned with two beers for the dudes.

True that. BSU style hockey nearly puts one to sleep. So much so, one time at a Bemidji State/CC series, I nearly fell asleep from boredom when all of sudden with time expiring in the first period, CC scores on a breakaway! I jumped out of my seat, fresh new beer in hand and it goes flying and spilled all over these two Beavers fans sitting in front of me.

So did Jackson try matching lines with the Plante/Plante/Shaugabay line this weekend? Or did he just roll his lines?

At 2-7-1 is it time to hit the panic button in Dinky Town? Gopher fans seem split about Motzko. Off to a poor start but his resume over his tenure there is pretty strong.

I gotta give Omaha their due. Nothing flashy by them but they’re a tenacious and good team. They’re going to win some games.
-
I really do think he needs to get some starts. It’s something I think Mayotte didn’t do enough of the last few seasons. Mbereko is a solid goalie but guys don’t want to sit on the bench the entire season. I can’t fault Musser for leaving, he’s getting playing time at St. Thomas.
-
Nope. We’re 1-10 in the last 11 against Omaha.
-
True. The puck carrier had an unimpeded lane for sure.

Yes-for Halloween was the reason I’d heard other CC fans give. The boys gotta figure out Latkoczy tonight. Hurts offensively not having Blais-Savoie and Burkholder. Both out with injuries.

Watching college gameday this morning on ESPN. A Utah fan held up this sign and it immediately made me think of Brad Schlossman.

What about our goaltending? I can’t recall which one of Duluth’s goals it was but the one where it appeared Homer might have been overly aggressive to the point of taking himself out of the play by overcommitting. Seems like he does that often and then he will make these ten bell saves because he got himself out of position to begin with.

I’m still trying to figure out how we managed to not get a shot off on a two on none.

DU will win tomorrow, 6-1.

Dunno
-
But then again, why not? Remember when Cole Smith was given a five and a game at Magness for a DU not looking where he was going with his head down and running into Smith’s backside? Atrocious call.

CC outshooting Omaha 29-16 through two periods but Omaha two for two on the power play.

The biggest jock sniffer in all of college hockey. Ken Landau.
-
As much as we like seeing the Gophers lose, should we actually be rooting for them given we played them and for rankings purposes?

I lived in the Denver metro area from 1996-2015 (Littleton, Lakewood, and Parker) and me personally, if I wasn’t a CC alum I’d take DU Pioneer season tickets over Avs games any day of the week but that’s just a personal preference. Between the high cost of everything at Avs games ($17.50 for a beer, $20 for parking, plus the high cost of tickets and hassle driving downtown) and just how much fun games are at Magness, especially UND games, I’ll take Pios games over Avs e every time.

Carter Wilkie with the overtime winner (and a natural hat trick) tonight for a 5-4 victory for the Rapid City Rush over the Wichita Thunder.

At times this weekend, it seemed as if the linesmen dropping the puck thought they were the stars of the show. My god, they d*cked around so much doing faceoffs.
