  1. I personally have always loved the "jump around" tradition at Miami! It always makes me laugh and appreciate the fun that the student section has. As a CC alum, trust me-I know what bad student sections are all about. The same tired cheers of T-I-G-E-R-S, TIGERS, TIGERS, TIGERS! As well as, "(insert goalie name here three times), you suck $&@%!" are pathetic. Miami is one of the arenas on my bucket list I want to get to (in the worst way!) and would have had I not gotten tickets for the Colts/Broncos game in Indy. Blasi is building a great powerhouse in Oxford.
  2. Hennessy just said Rocco's been quiet tonight.
  3. It always seems like we are the only team to be able to out-shoot opponents and be losing.
  4. Is there a way to watch the Internet feed muted while listening to Hennessy?
  5. 17 shots on goal sounds like UND is playing hard to me.
  6. Anyone know whether or not UND ever recruited Nolan Zajac? That guy is very offensively gifted. DU scored getting him.
  7. I've had the pleasure of living in Denver for the past seventeen years and Gwoz's smugness always bothered me but I really had a change of heart about the guy after the firing happened. Say what you will about his behavior at times but the guy was competitive and had passion. Plus, I'll always love him for publicly saying that UND will always be the Fighting Sioux as far as he's concerned.

  9. I'll never forgive St. Cloud after how militant they were towards UND regarding the Sioux nickname.
  10. I'd rather see Lowell or Quinnipiac win it all. It's hard to root for the team that knocked us out (even though Yale deserved to win by out-playing us).
  11. I'm sure there are creative ways that Maine could compensate Gwoz outside of just the straight yearly salary. A lucrative annuity of some sort is certainly one way.
  12. Some CC fans wouldn't mind having Gwoz. It wouldn't likely happen though-CC's not a big time sports school, Owens is still-and likely to continue to be-head coach, and even if there were an opening, doubtful CC would be willing to pay him what he's worth.
  13. Apparently, Gwoz was quoted as saying something to the effect of, "I could get in trouble for saying this but I don't care. As far as I'm concerned, they'll always be the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux."
  14. I think going back to their ketchup and mustard colored uniforms would be a mistake. Those old jerseys burned my retinas!
  15. If you want some insight into the reaction of DU hockey fans, go on over to "let's go DU" blog. It sounds like the current administration has been tripping over itself in many areas-stalling in contract negotiations with Gwoz, budget mis-management, and a mascot-yes, you heard it right-controversy...According to their chancellor, Boone is considered "not inclusive (translation: racist).
  16. Quotes from former DU players are that of shock. I bet they're really pissed at the school over Gwoz's firing.
  17. I haven't bothered to troll but is anyone aware if DU and Minnesota fans are expressing the same frustrations about their respective coaches? I know that prior to the start of the tournament, DU fans were grumbling about Gwoz's lack of post season success since their back-to-back titles (1 NCAA tournament win).
  18. I think if those of us say that the current coaching staff can't be criticized is just wrong. I can't remember who the qb at Michigan was who said it but after losing a game, he even said that if he couldn't take the heat from Wolverines fans, he should've played at Ferris State. Same concept here.
  19. Edit:that Eades or Marks were or are any less qualified than Hak?
  20. If you don't think being married to O'Keefe's daughter didn't have any influence in Hakstol getting the head coaching gig, your head is in the clouds. I'm not saying Hak is a bad coach or necessarily deserves to be fired but c'mon, lets be honest about this. Can anyone honestly say that Eases was or is any less qualified than Eades or John Marks?
  21. If anyone of us were married to O'Keefe's daughter, we probably would've gotten the head coaching gig.
  22. I agree-there needs to be accountability and transparency in the selection process.
