I meant to ask if anyone knows why Montgomery switched goaltenders late in Friday's game with about 4 minutes left?

Went to the game again tonight and my girlfriend said, "why do all of UND's shots seem to hit the Frontier Airlines ad to the right of the net?"

Just curious, does the team fly back home tonight or tomorrow?

You know, I'm no fan of Pio hockey but I empathize with DU fans on this issue...Very heavy handed on how the Chancellor handled their mascot issue. But this is a thread about Gothberg so I'll just leave it at that.

Thanks! Yah, as I was reading through the DU rants about Chyzyk and the typical "UND bad boys" stuff that DU fans there love to chat about, I saw Doggard's announcement that he's shutting the blog down (again). It got shut down last summer but came back up shortly thereafter.

I'm curious what DU's health situation is. If anyone's ever interested in seeing what's going on with the "enemy"

It doesn't get easier for CC next week-they play at home against Providence and one of the best goaltenders in the country. I hope UND has a great week of practice and plays well against Bemidji.

Ok, I called for a split but was very happy I was wrong! I hope everyone knows I tried to apply some logic to my prediction! It wasn't because I'm a CC alum.

Don't know the final stats but the announcers said CC had 13 blocked shots in the first period alone to UND's 4. Part of that had to do of course to the territorial advantage we had.

I agree-Saunders should start tomorrow night.

I tried to listen to the radio broadcast on the fox tonight and they were just playing music. Did they change stations?

That was one of the best periods of hockey I've seen them play in a long time! This is not the same team I saw in Vancouver last Friday!

CC was doing what they've done all season long...defensive zone breakdowns. I also think CC is a different team on the NHL ice sheet.

Despite CC's terrible overall record, they are in 5th place so there's hope in their eyes for a top half finish. That will give them motivation. Furthermore, all season long they've demonstrated the ability to play well for at least one of two nights (even in some of their losses). That said, I'm going to predict a split.
