I started laughing when Mazzocco said that last night. I also would have loved to hear him pronounce Spirko's name.

I think we will see Phil getting the start. It will give him some valuable experience in nets for years to come.

Sicatoka, I just about fell out of my chair when I read your post, funny stuff.

I don't think that is fair to Zajac when you say that. Spirko had a really good year and had to have fallen just short of making the team, but Zajac had just as good of year and his play in all areas of the game are what really impressed me. Obviously his name recognition didn't hurt him, but saying that is why he was on the team and not Sparky is not fair to Zajac.

Michigan Tech places 3 players on the All-WCHA teams. Obviously Murphy had a great year and you can make a case for Ellsworth, but putting 3 players on these teams when you finish in the bottom of the standings once again is a joke.

Who did you hear? A couple men standing around the beer stand?

Thank you, I'm just glad Purpur got his application in for the job, I was getting tired of listening to Sweeney every night during the sports, talk about how Purpur "plans on applying for the position".

Haskstol told Tim this morning on Tim and Swyg's show that the rule is still in effect. Tim talked about how he thought the rule was done with, but Hak corrected him.

I think he meant, he would be a regular in the NHL.

He was so much fun to watch. His offensive skills, combined with his solid defensive play made him one of the better all around dmen this school has ever had.

Congrats to the team on another very good season. I know everyone is disappointed in the outcome, but another successful season for Roebuck and the women's team. The upcoming years look like they are going to be very good as well, with the unbelieveable recruits the Sioux have been landing.

Great post!! I'm not sure why people on here get all worried about people leaving early either. I have friends who come from the cities for every weekend series, and they usually leave saturday games early, when the scores permits them to, to make a jump on heading back. At least these people are attending the games.

I understand that it is also, in the best interest of raising the most money, however when that rule can give that team an advantage, than I don't believe it is a fair rule.
