Rudolph needs to put some of those throws at favorable times for Bartles. Don't wait for 3rd and 10 before throwing. Don't do a straight drop back. Use your play action, use your bootleg, and for gods' sake, use your tight ends!

We really need a quality backup QB. If the coaches think Bartles gives us the best chance to win this game, I'm not sure what that says about Heidlebaugh. Hopefully he has a fantastic off-season and some of our young recruits come in and exceed expectations, but I do not feel comfortable about our QB play without Studsrud.

Just brutal 3rd down... ugh. UNC player shoved the center over Bartles after he was down and Bartles trying to call timeout. Either the refs aren't blowing the whistle or that should have been a late hit.

That looked more like Santiago of last year. Hit the hole with speed and then make the moves further downfield.

We actually only rushed three on that 3rd down play. Not sure why we are backing off pressure.

Teach Santiago and Oliviera to run the read option at halftime and just go to that...

At this point, let's go to Heidlebaugh. Bartles is exactly what we thought he was. If we are just going to run the ball, put the more athletic kid in.

Wouldn't have mattered had he fumbled. UNC had already touched the ball, anything Seibel did after would have been a free play. Although just diving on it makes no sense.

That should have been a touchdown. If you have no faith in Bartles throwing the ball, then line up in power sets and run it down the defense's throat. Don't get cute and try running your slower than molasses backup QB.

Honestly I don't really have any complaints so far with these announcers. Yes, they are bit homer-ish, but not all that bad.

I think this would be a different game with a healthy Studsrud. It's obvious UNC has no real concern for our passing game and are loading the box. It's also obvious our offense has no faith in the passing game right now, the OC isn't even calling for anything outside of obvious passing downs. We hit the TE early and have never gone back.
