True, but you can't keep an incompetent coach just to retain players either. That is a great recipe for more mediocrity. That is where Chaves will earn his money. Have a plan, move quick, and let the new coach retain as much as he can/wants.

Yeah, Schmidt was pretty highly though of for a while. One of those guys you hoped to keep even if Bubba left. Now, I'm ok with everyone going. Blow it up and start over. Freund could maybe stay because we really haven't had a large enough sample size to judge what he is capable of, especially when he gets some of his own guys into the offense.

Does it really matter? Someone needed to sit if you want to get other players in, and I'm not sure, but was there anyone else that they would have wanted to rotate in? Are you speculating discipline? injury? questionable coaching choice? Just curious.

I don't think Tychonik sitting had anything to do with his play. I believe the coaches just said they wanted to get everyone so good early reps. Its worked out perfectly for this series. i fully expect Tychonik to be in the lineup for both games in Mankato. Can't wait for Friday!
