The 3 and out after the big Siegel int return was some of the worst coaching I have ever seen. Giant momentum swing, a chance to put the game away, and the coaches killed their own momentum. Completely unacceptable. How Bubba cannot see the need for a change in his mentality is what will get him canned, hopefully sooner than later.

Bubba did not. This team won in spite of coaching, not because of it. I would absolutely take the Davis coach, loved the aggressive calls. The guys plays to win the game.
-
Wow! Hope that gives Brady some confidence!
-
Did BB even play in the second half?
-
Bubba is a damn joke
-
I’d ask the kicker to, but he would miss
-
So is that Bubba or Danny?
-
Siegel is the man!!
-
Seriously, why did they stop mixing Brock in?
-
Kett needs to be cut for that throw and punched in the throat for that haircut! Holy Siegel!!!!

Terrible defensive series

Anyone heard anything about skokna? Is he still not healthy?

Came out sleeping

Hope so. I’m excited to see him over the next two years.

When is the last time we had a QB throw for over 200 in a half. very impressive showing so far, especially after last weekend.
-
More swing passes on that drive than the past few seasons combined
-
Doesn’t get much better than that drive to start a game. Well done!

Anyone know what Pluto channel this is on? i assume 530 but the game isn’t listed.

In Berry's first year, I remember seeing a player say something to the affect of, they were scared to let Hak down, but they just didn't want to let Berry down. There is something to both of those feelings, but I think the latter may be geared towards more established talented players (Caggiula, Boeser, Schmaltz, etc.), while the former produces better results from a team holistically at this level, given the transition from HS and Juniors, and the development they are going through. You don't want to have your team be scared of you, but you do want them to know what the expectations are and have them live up to those. I like Berry, but I would bring Hak back in a second. I was a huge fan of how he coached, what he got out of his player, and just his whole demeanor in general.

Anything less than a sweep is unacceptable!

Well maybe, but I'm not ready to put offensive woes on Freund at this point either. To your point, it goes higher, and I think a lot of that is Bubba and recruiting. O line is still a problem, D line is way to small. QB has never been emphasized.

sad, but true. I'll still watch, and I'll still cheer, but it is tough to have high hopes when the program lacks proper leadership. I actually though Bubba should have been gone before this year. He could have fired Rudy a year earlier, but chose to hold on to a guy that couldn't do the job. At that point he was just as much at fault as Rudy was. Getting rid of Rudy when he did was a year too late as far as I am concerned. Now Chaves will be in a similar position. Is he willing to make a change, or let the coaching issue linger longer than it needs to. If you can get the right coach, you can change a program fairly quickly. UND has just had an issue with finding that right coach.

Just saw that. I don't really care, so long as Bubba is finally held accountable when the season is over.

Couldn't agree more. Its actually not that different from Brad Berry ... seems like a great guy, but I don't want a coach that is a great/nice guy, I want a coach that recruits better that the next guy and wins. I'll give Berry this season to show some improvement, but Hak was 10x the coach that Berry has been. As for football, the only competent coach I have seen in my time a a fan was Lennon. Could he have led us through the transition to D1, maybe, probably better than Muss or Bubba. Would have gone a lot better if we had moved up at the same time as NDSU. Regardless, what do we do moving forward. Time to go find a new guy. Short of making a run and winning it all, I'm done with the Bubba regime.
