Serious question, why is it we hear about so many Bison legacy players, but not UND ones? I mean maybe one here and there, but it doesn’t seem to be near the number of NDSU ones. Maybe it’s just perspective.

That was a lot of build up for nothing.

If we go back to the Spring, there is one thing I would really like to see improve against NDSU. Game plan! UND seemed to have a solid game plan going into most games last spring and this far in the Fall. Against NDSU, we just seemed kind of lost. Hoping to see us dial up some creativity and aggressiveness early.

Thats right, I believe it was right after the Canady interception. Had he crossed the line (which I still can't believe he seemed to move towards the defender rather than the pylon), then no fumble and no injury. Hope he is ok.

Nope, can't argue with your point. I'll take any win in any fashion, BUT it would be just awesome if this was one of those games nobody expected. Dominant on both sides of the ball. Big play. A statement win! .... for the good guys of course.

Doubt it, but I'm not up there. I would expect it will take a few visits, a few wins, and some crazy games to get the excitement level to where it used to be. UND is doing the right things with recruiting, conference affiliation, winning, playoffs BUT it is hard to overcome what NDSU has done over the past decade. Its a process, but it is on the right trajectory.

Completely understand your assessment, BUT we haven't really fall flat on our face at home have we? Not too recently anyway.

Good times! I was a freshman, and playing in UND's marching band in 2003. During the 4th quarter some of us went over and sat with the NDSU band which was kind of fun. All in all, it was a great freshman experience. I still remember the subway commercials leading up to the game (Bohl's buffalo chick vs Lennon's Chicken Teriyaki) . Can't believe it has been so long since the Bison have played in the Alerus and hoping it picks up right where it left off. Get the crowd into it, and for old times sake, tear the damn goal posts down! Need to win, hopefully make a damn statement! Can't wait!

Agreed, the Cay has amazing food. Wings and some Stir Fry, yes please! I haven't been there in almost 15 years, but might need to make a trip. Hope the food is still as good as it used to be.

100% agree. They are complete trash. The side stripes are dumb, and the white shoulder are almost uglier than a female bison fan peeing in the street. Yeah, they're that gross.

Yes, all in all if was about as ugly as blowout win can be, but some of these were correctable mistakes. I'm sure there are some swings in mentality coming off of two road trip, one of which was FBS, to a FBS school, to then come back home and play a team you know you will beat in Drake. Not sure if we looked past this or weren't prepared, but hopefully they refocus, including Otis making sure he is doing what he needs to do to get back on the field AND be a leader. Re-watched the game and had a few thoughts: Pros Zavalney looks good Defense played great overall. Tons of pressure. Just need to watch those deep shots; that could hurt us in two weeks. Coley played well Cons Schuster was off. Underthrew a bunch of receivers. Threw behind a bunch of receivers. Interception in the redzone to start the 4th was on Tommy. Vaughn needs to hold on to, and protect, the ball. I believe he said this power run QB thing was new for him, but still have to secure the ball. Any other game and this could have cost us big time. That being said, he won't be playing as much in other games, so hopefully he will figure this out before he is in a position to run and hold the ball more. Otis has had his share of this, I'll assume they will take care of this. Canady should have had tighter coverage on that deep ball in the 2nd, but backed it up with a nice interception, BUT what was he thinking when he ran it back and cut toward the defender rather than walking it in by the pylon? If he doesn't do that, we score, and the 2nd QV fumble doesn't happen. I'll take this for what it is; a win. We dominated almost every aspect of the game, despite some BAD turnovers. Even with several bad passes by Tommy he still filled the stat sheet with more good than bad. With a bye week and a chance to heal, clean up some mistakes and refocus, we should be pretty excited about NDSU coming to town. I'm sure the crowd will be far more into it as well. Should be a great time!

Given Bubba's style of play, and how we generally do not run up scores ... do we cover the spread? We should! But do we?

Coaches need to be aggressive, put this one away by halftime and develop their depth players. As @geaux_siouxsaid, Quincy should get plenty of time to sling the ball, and hopefully get Trey in their a bit too. I want to see Quincy actually run the offense, not just be in there for gimmick plays; though he has done a terrific job in that role.
