    2018 Season

Open competition but the reports on Ketteringham last fall were pretty solid. Knowing he has had a year in this system, he is my guess for starter next year, but it should be a good competition.
  2. I can't keep up with it all but was Hunt kicked off the team? Was that the same issue as Demon Taylor?
  3. Still hearing a Gopher LB is in the mix? As Waters is out, I am assuming it is Williams?
  4. So who was the other Gopher LB, Everett Williams?
  5. I assume the FBS dropdown is one of the Gopher LBs. Wonder the the RB prospect is.
  6. Thats fair, and I'll buy into that reasoning. Rudy should still be gone.

    2018 Season

Dude, needs to go. Like I've said before, keeping Rudolph, now mean that the success or failure of this offense is on Bubba's shoulders. Bubba seems like too nice of a guy at times. Wouldn't want to cut ties with someone or make the hard call. Rudy should not be running this offense, and it is not because of any production issues last season. I can understand injuries, what I can't understanding is being so predictable that everyone on the other team, in the stand and on twitter knows what play is coming. I can't understanding have some incredible talent, and using zero creativity to utilize it.

    2018 Season

Anyone care to take an early stab at the two deep? Predictions on which redshirts will be pulled?
  9. Serious question, how many of those recruits go with Klieman when/ if he goes FBS?
  10. For me personally, I was really pumped about him. I thought the kid had huge upside. Already at a great size, and will only get stronger.
  11. Nothing negative there. I am seriously wondering if they are going after a legit player for the most important position.
  12. Do we even have a QB we are after? And I mean a D1 QB? Not a Bolinske or Heidelbaugh.
  13. Agreed on the hogs.OL is the key to success, and I think that is where NDSU has really dominated. Thlack of hype has to be a combo, bad season, timing, lack of really exciting players. Yeah, Okpoko had me bummed. truth is, who cares about the hype of today, if UND comes out strong next season a lot of this perspective will change. im looking forward to never seeing a season of injuries like that again. I'm hoping the OL can open some more room to run. I'm on board with Ketteringham; just my opinion he will start. Give him time and he has Wanzek, Toivenen, Izzy, Griebel, McKinney (and tight ends ... ahem, Rudy) our defensive run game was awful due to no LB core, that should be cleaned up and deeper this year. Praying Harris will be back 100% my biggest question mark on defense is Safety. Need to absolutely stomp Miss Valley to start the season and would love to see the upset of Sam Houston. They will have a new QB but NDSU just showed a pretty good method to beating them. IF UND is healthy, that could be a very fun game and a good measuring stick. Statement game and something that could carry some meaning come playoff time. wow that was a lot of rambling. I guess I'm more pumped for UND football than I thought after such a disappoint 2017.
  14. It's hard to hype up much after a bad season, and while there are some exciting ones, the are others that leave something to be desired. We are the only D1 offer for some of these kids. Yes, I've heard the John Santiago reasoning; but I think we can agree Santiago is the exception, not the rule. I'm sure the coaches see something in these kids, but kids with multiple offers clearly have something that is visible as well. Are we afraid we will lose the recruiting battles on them? Im also turned off to some of these safety converted linebackers. Yes Palmborg is playing well, but I think some of these undersized guys have struggled and it showed this year. If we continue with that type of undersized LB we will certainly get exposed in the MVFC. so altogether ... yes, Bubba and crew have done some nice things. No, I'm not calling for his head like some. Yes, I think he does need to show some serious improvement on the field and in recruiting over the next year or two if he wants to continue coaching at this level. Bubbas biggest fail to this point is keeping my Rudy and Kostich. He could have changed those up this offseason and didn't, he now owns responsibility for the success/failure of those spots going forward. Had never heard Rudy talk before the signing show today, and I wasn't overly impressed.
  15. yea, typo. Can't be mad AT the kid for taking an opportunity. Just sucks.
  16. I must have misread and earlier post. I thought I read that he did sign, but it looks like one of the gopher LB is expected to sign. Regardless, getting a B10 LB is valuable depth. And yeah, forgot to mention Rastas. Regardless, I just hope this team can stay healthy, because there are some talented players on the roster. ... Still ticked at Okpoko.
  17. Thats awesome. As long as we can stay health, all of a sudden the position looks deep. Larson, Rodgers Waters. Am I missing anyone? That seems like some pretty solid depth inside.
  18. Vomit ... that kids had a ton of offers if I recall.
  19. I'd take Jontae Dobson or Hessefort
  20. Do they still think they have a shot at Marquis Majors?
  21. Agreed, I was really pumped to see him. You can't teach size, and he had a big frame.
  22. Him and Bruner were the two I really wanted to see signed. Ticks me off when kids commit then bolt like that.
  23. Sounding like Okpoko is gone.
