Don't know about the Twin Cities & the rest of N.D., but here in metro Phoenix there's fierce competition between Qwest & Cox cable. Qwest hypes DSL packages & there are non-stop Cox commercials telling viewers the benefits of digital cable & the "slowness" of DSL. Looks like Cox cable is winning the battle. I'd probably have to shell out $30 for DSL & around $40 for a cable modem if I decided to go that route.

Dunno for sure. I was checking out Heisenberg's recruit list & it seems that the average date of signing is about a year in advance of the upcoming season--some being signed 2 years in advance & others about 5-6 months. Heisenberg I noticed that new recruit K. Radke isn't listed there yet.

Good point. During that time plays like that were fairly run-of-the-mill. Those dynamic end-2-end rushes have been few & far between since Panzer, Blake, Lundbohm & Murphy left.

I remember watching that game on MSC & that play was a classic display of pure speed. I think Jeff bolted into the defensive end to backcheck the puck away from a Gopher singlehandedly, turned on the jets through the neutral zone on a 2 on 0 with his brother, made a quick pass to Jay & then back to Jeff for a backhand top-shelfer. Mazzocco & Reid made it sound just like any other play

I took the route of clicking 'All Products' on the main page & then 'Downloads' from that. Hopefully that helps but there are probably other avenues, as well. The only thing is I haven't found it listed in add/remove programs so I'm wondering if I downloaded it correctly. Edit: I looked around & found that I saved it to a file called 'My Documents' but not 'add/remove programs'. Is this ok &, if not, does anybody know how I save it to the 'add/remove programs' section?

Thx, sprig, just trying to get some feedback. Note to other users on a different topic: For MS users there's a windows virus that particularly affects XP users; it's called the "w32blaster worm". Common complaints are that it causes one's computer to restart after being on only a few minutes. I called Microsoft & they gave me the following website to do a "patch": Microsoft updates The tech staff told me that once I'm there I should click the "review & install updates" section; they also said that anti-virus software hasn't been successful in combatting this.

I'm curious as to others' experiences with the webcast previews. My audio & real-time playback appear fine but the image is very poor, like it's difficult to see fine details & it seems unfocused. How about the rest of you?

Yeah, massacres are a joy to behold. It bodes better, imo, for the Sioux to lose a close game to a team like Maine than to wallop some pseudo team like Concordia.

Well, certainly good news for the Sioux to secure top competition like this. A few more Maine-like teams on our schedule & a few less Canisius', Niagaras, Browns & BSUs can only help our boys in the long run. Playing much less talented teams serves real no purpose & doesn't adequately prepare them for the playoff stretch.

I'm not a big fan of airing dirty laundry on this board d/2 the fact these off-ice stories almost always snowball into something bigger & different than the original topic. Brandt's case is a good example: Take a short article by the Herald, start it in this forum & a month later one'll find unsubstantiated heresay & rumors galore. Talking about a person's legal troubles here solves nothing & often ends up in one big Jerry Springer show. How is talking about Brandt's case here going to help matters for him? I believe the original intent of this board should should remain as is: to discuss, analyze & prophesize Sioux HOCKEY--not legal sidebars & other fluff lest we want a lot of character assassinations.
