  2. Game 2 Slav = PP GWG Storm beat the Muskies 5-2, in one of the most dirtiest games of the year tonight. Sioux City 22 minutes on 11 Tri-City 20 minutes on 10, but Croft didn't call $#!+. I know play-off hockey is a little lax on penalties, but this guy has no clue. Ref Ian Croft, hopefully he never makes the next level. Game 1 article
  3. The Slav had an unassisted goal tonight in a 3-2 OT win against Sioux City. He stole the puck behind the SC net, skated around two players and buried it.

If anyone would like, I could have a tape or two sent their way. PM me and I'll see what I can do. You can listen to the games on radio webcast at Stormhockey.com Or follow realtime stats at pointstreak.com
  6. As much as I detest ANY team from ANY sport that hails from Colorado, I was really pulling for the Pioneers. The 6 on 3 really showed the coaches confidence in his teams scoring ability. Way to kill it off DU. Them Denver boys in the sin bin at the end were sure feeling the shame, weren't they? These last few weeks just goes to show you what can happen when a team peaks at the right time. Melrose....Get a life!
  7. 4/2/04 From a friend of mine in Jersey...
  8. I remember Zombo playing. Good, solid defenceman from the 82 team. Shoot, now I feel old. Zombo is still coaching at St Louis. I think the team will fold this year due to attendance problems. Hope not.

    Brian Kilburg

Pretty mobile for his size. Can move the puck up the ice and is a smart player. He's really matured into his role this year. I'm no talent scout either, but according to his coach, he's got alot of college interest and could really pick where he wants to go. I'm thinking UMD, but no confirms yet. About the '-15 to +33' Let's just say we had alot coaching problems last season. 3 years at 27 wins. Change of coach and they went to 43 wins.
  10. Yes he did. The rest of the team around him gave up on the season. Not a typical Steve Johnson team at all.

    Brian Kilburg

He doesn't need to be a fighter. Nor has he ever backed down from one the 60+ games I've seen him play. This kid throws the most viscious checks I've seen in juniors for a long time. A LONG time. Why would the Sioux want some goon or cementhead anyways? I'll leave it at this. This kid has skill, vision, and the physical makeup for not only D-1 but the NHL. I know I'm new on this board and it's customary to rip newbies. So I'll take my bashings. But keep your eyes and ears open on this one. He'll end up somewhere. I'm just hoping he could wear green in 04 or 05. Mama's boy!?!?! hardly
  12. Tom-A-toe...Tom-AH-toe Just call him 'The Slav' fargosioux, did you see the Bartuzzi mugging he got last night? http://home.earthlink.net/~stormpix/sitebu.../dmfirsthit.jpg Not a clear picture, but you can still make out it was a dirty hit from behind. No call either. Play-off hockey. Let 'em play.
  13. Here I thought he was just screamin'
  14. Brian Kilburg Mendota Heights, MN "D" 5/10/84 6'-3" 218lbs 03/04 5g, 13a, 18pts, +33, 138 pim Has UND show any intrest in this kid? Just looking back through some old recruiting posts, I don't see his name anywhere. He could play another year of juniors, but I think he's more than ready now. Great on open ice checks. Can handle the puck real well. Great work ethic. Coach Littler made him a machine. pointstreak.com
  15. ...........so.....what's your point?
  16. That's a shame. It would have been a good game to go get his feet wet.
  17. Yes, the last few Gino years were painfull. But I would still rank him as one of the great Sioux coaches. DB will never be terminated from UND. He'll leave on his own. Not in the near future I hope.
  18. All I've been reading about is Z, and I guess I mindlessly typed that in. Sorry for the brain-fart. I was up late doing taxes. At least I kept it in the family.
  19. In order to calculate gaa you need ga and minutes played. Total goals against x 60 (minutes in a game) divided by total minutes played. On the season, it would look like this. Zach: 42 x 60 = 2520 / 1229:48 = 2.05 Briggs: 96 x 60 = 5760 / 2198:50 = 2.62 You are correct on Briggs gaa for the tournament.
  20. It's not the program or team I have a problem with. It is definately the fans. It's been this way since I can remember. But that only goes back to the early 70's. Tit-for-Tat. You suck. No, you suck more. Yes, it does get carried away more on an internet site. But you have to admit, it does get rid of a little steam before the fans meet face to face. On the plus side. You develope SOME friendships with the enemy more since the invention of the message board. Good Luck Dogs. Keep it in the "W"
  21. I thought about that all last night after the game. Will they be passed over for their performance this week-end?
  22. The Slav broke a Storm goal record goal tonight in the season finale. He finished the year with 35 goals in 55 games. He missed 5 games this year. Four due The Viking Cup and 1 because he suffered a broken nose and concussion from be gooned up by 3 Lancers. Seems like after the Viking Cup he slowed a little, but has been coming on strong. Just in time for the play-offs. Hard telling what he would have finished with if he didn't play the Viking. Tonight vs Sioux City he had 2 goals (gwg in OT). box score scoring leaders
  23. Doesn't look like he's holding his breath on an assistant job either.
  24. Thought someone would want to read up on an alum. Has there been any talk of Johnson coming to UND lately? As an assistant or anything? I know I had heard one time that Steve was on the short list to replace Blais after he retires, but haven't heard that one for quite awhile. Lincoln Journal Star
