  1. Nowadays, who knows? before the lockout, I would have said there's no way Dunc's would have an NHL career. Now, Nathan Gerbe is getting some NHL time and he's smaller than Duncs.
  2. Look at the replay again. Toews was robbed, yes, but it wasn't Turco's fault. Turco got lucky. He was down and out and he just lifted a leg and Toews shot it into the leg. It's a lot like a player shooting a puck into the idle glove of a goaltender and the goaltender lifting the glove up over his head and calling it an unbelievable save. Turco got lucky. Toews should have scored. He knew it too. Toews returned to the bench and then punched the glass.
  3. Well, there you go. Time to play better hockey. So far, not very impressed with this series as far as UND is concerned. We won last night.. we might win tonight, but still, not sharp.
  4. According to Suze, they were booing because Shepherd blew the whistle while UND was not in possession. There is a rule that the official shouldnt blow the whistle unless the injury is serious and/or the injured player's team is in possession of the puck. Neither was truly the case so... UAA fans booed.
  5. He's from ND I think... or has ND connections.
  6. MALONE!!!!
  7. WHEW! Luckily UAA was on the powerp...oh wait.
  8. Apparently a shoulder injury.
  9. I'm good! Next penalty will be on UND though.
  10. UND going on the PK. Next penalty will be on UAA. So predictable. SiouxFanatic- Eids is giving up rebounds, but UAA is playing much more aggressive than last night too.
  11. VV!!!!
  12. Well, at least Trupp's a forward. We have more depth there.
  13. Ok, Eids is giving up rebounds. Thsi means that the D HAS HAS HAS HAS to try to get the rebounds.
  14. DUNCAN SHORTY! EAT THAT SHEPTURD!
  15. BS UND penalty. *According to TH* Make up call coming up.
  16. Weren't there 3 rebounds before the goal was scored? Uh... 3? Nice to have D get the rebounds.... No.. Eids will take care of it.
  17. Well, there we go.
  18. Real Alternative isn't working for me either. So I'm tuning into the radio. The website still says I must download RealAudio.
  19. Is there any way to connect to the video webcast without using the UAA website? Firefox won't load the plug in despite having downloaded RealAudio.
  20. Blake has a goal already.
  21. Thanks for this info! I was convinced that UM Crookston was DII for some reason. I stand corrected. Thanks.
  22. Missed this comment. Part of me wonders what WOULD happen if a UND player that doesn't have a "rep" (so in other words, no current Sioux player who has received a 10 minute misconduct or a fighting major or are listed here: Hextall, Zajac, Jones, Malone, Lamoreaux) did pull something like what Irwin did. Would the Sioux player get the same punishment Irwin received (aka, nothing)?
  23. Because, with the Gopher D being as bad as it is, the only reason why CC didn't win in regulation was that they lacked a finisher. Sioux-Hab-It: I think it is part coaching, but Guentzel's departure really doesn't indicate something is wrong. For all we know, Guentzel left because Lucia didn't want to recruit his son and Guentzel wanted to be close to his son while he was in college. Who knows, really. UW had some departures in the past coaching wise, including the goaltending coach this year. However, that doesn't seem to affect UW. The fact is, the college game is changing. I really believe that the WCHA is becoming more of a defensive league for a variety or reasons. When that is the case, you have to recruit accordingly. This is something UND has done very well on average historically. Lucia's recruiting focuses on offensive aspects to the game and relies upon clogging up the passing lanes and good goaltending to cover for any other defensive lapses. If you play physical and are able to get decent passing, the rest seems to fall into place for their opponent. That being said, I wonder if CC can put together a sweep of a team like Minnesota. They haven't this year really. I would not be surprised in the slightest to see Minnesota win today.
  24. I think what he's trying to say is that first place is very attainable right now and, since Hak has shown increasing success as a head coach in regular season standings over his time with UND, first place is only to be expected. The was just a prompt by the coding not part of what he is saying.
  25. AO is clearly a goal scorer. However, he's not all that good in the defensive zone. Crosby is more of a two way playmaker. He can score, but IMO he's better at setting up the play. The only thing I balk at with Crosby is the hype. He's not the next Gretzky. He's great. He's a sure fire HOFer at this pace. But he's no Gretzky.
