I think this is exaggerated, really. The only major decision that is to be made was by Brady. No real pressure on Andy. There was expectations of Murray playing for Team Canada, but the article insinuates that there wasn't the kinds of assurances that could be made for Brady and it was either take a sure bet or roll the dice vs major juniors. Brady was forced into playing for the US. Andy did play some roll in his decision to play for the World Juniors, but after his calls went unanswered to Team Canada, there really wasn't anything outside of the family that Andy had to be concerned about in this matter. Personally, I think Brady made the right choice. I would have done the same (but I have no talent when it comes to playing hockey). I really think he had no chance on Team Canada anyways.

Tassles is gone, folks. The town ran them out of town, at least, that's what I heard. As for DUHluth "scoring" I think standards-wise, wouldn't they have to go to Wisconsin for considerations? I thought the Body Shoppe was a place where you buy stuff like massagers and specialized recliners with vibrating massagers in it, etc etc.?

It seems to me that he wasn't really enjoying Ferris State and Blais made it possible to come to Grand Forks. I learned something new, though... I thought Blake was from Moorhead, MN. I wonder what he thinks about the current team?

That's obvious, because if you knew !@$! one about NCAA hockey, you'd know that D2 hockey doesn't exist. Needless to say, Bison fans' opinions on UND's hockey team doesn't amount to anything because well, we have NCAA rules on our side and that's all that matters.

NASCAR entertainment is summed up in two words: CRASH and FIGHT. Crashes are fun to watch on TV (hopefully they dont get hurt but still...) Fights are fun to watch because it's a bunch of weirdos in leather or nomex outfits brighter than the Rose Bowl parade floats throwing punches then swilling cheap champaigne. I don't know. I have the mentality for Poker, NASCAR, and basketball such that if it cannot be shown in a 5 second clip on Sportscenter, it ain't worth watching the event. Hockey is the exception to the rule. Oh, and SFiP, I'm not Mapletoft's alterego. That chump owes me royalty money!

Last time I checked there were a lot of D2 schools with DI hockey teams. Teams like SCSU, UMD are two off the top of my head. Heck, RPI, Colorado College, Union, and Clarkson are DIII schools with DI hockey programs! The bitterness of some NDSU fans are simply staggering. Pride doesn't necessarily come with intelligence, because intelligent fans can admit when their team has been bested. Case in point, earlier in the season, UND's hockey team lost to Boston College. We were disappointed but everyone basically said "They played better than us and we just stunk." That's what I am talking about. Whining and moaning about how much better your team is is irrelevant at the end of the season if your team didn't make the playoffs. It's really that simple. So, I suggest that, unless your team is currently playing (Which eliminates everyone but UND, GVSU, UNA, and that school TAMUK (?) whoever they are), you have no real legitamite right to whine. Life is full of disappointments, folks. On Saturday, two of the four teams playing will be disappointed. Then in the NC game, one more will be disappointed. That's life.

Believe it or not, the majority of NASCAR fans, demographically, reside north of the Mason-Dixon Line, so I find that stereotype is not only a stupid stereotype, but also false to begin with. In any case, when the top three sports in terms of growing fanbase is NASCAR, Poker, and bowling, you know the US is screwed up.

By no means am I a member of the ACLU much less president, but I think moderation in stance is the key. If we jump to extremes at every opportunity, we're belittling our Constitution and everything else we stand for here in the U.S. I mean, if every suspect arrested is guilty, we might as well say that every Muslim is a terrorist and start mass deportations. I don't like this guy as much as you all do, but I'm not ready to hang him yet. Not until some word of Dru surfaces and we at least have closure. Dru first, scumbag last.

You know, I've seen this guy and I now know his history, but I ask you, where's Dru? This guy is a great target because of his history and we've already declared him guilty. What if he really didn't do it? I mean, he may have been stalking Dru, but that's not the issue. She's still missing. This morning I went to Odegaard Hall and I saw a sign that I hope someone took down. It called for this guy's castration. I mean, yeah, sex crimes are awful and sex offenders aren't good people, but since when are we like African nations who mutilate their own citizens? If he's guilty, he gets life in prison. Or some other form of suitable punishment, but mutilation isn't the answer. You cannot declare him guilty before the evidence is found proclaiming the claim as truth. They've arrested a suspect. Good. But they haven't arrested the kidnapper unless Dru is found. Remember that.
