  1. I must have missed the OLN Hockey game because instead of hockey they had some dumb testimonial: "Gee, what's that hurricane doing in front of my sailboat!" And the "hilarity" that ensued.
  2. Don't forget Koontz, Goddard's cronie and a lying racist (How could a race of racists such as the whites even care about becoming an expert on anything Sioux? That's just racist to even consider that!)
  3. No, I don't think we'll finish below .500. What I'd LOVE to see would be something like what happened last year. Finish 5th in the WCHA and go for an NCAA berth. The unfortunate thing is, with our youth, I am not positive we'll get placed in Grand Forks for the regional, especially if getting placed there means we have to be a #1 seed. We're just too young for that. But as long as we make the NCAAs, it will be a good year for us. The hardest part of this situation is listening/watching the Sioux lose the games they inevitably are going to lose. No one likes to watch their team lose.
  4. It appears as though Northeastern is in the same boat we were when we found out Kaip had PCS, only Kaip is a checking line roleplayer and Morris is their offensive heart. It would be like Travis Zajac going down for us. It is not a situation I'd wish any team to be in.
  5. Wait... I thought GK's whole thing was proving that the nickname was hostile and abusive by using second hand and third hand accounts that cannot be backed up and saying that anyone who disagreed with him was a racist. Now he's attacking UND? Uh... yeah... GK's credibility in any facet is gone. Any pro-name change person who feels UND would be better off with a different nickname is one thing, but when they start openly flaming UND on their policies towards the Native Americans... Yeah. Ignored.
  6. Well we won a big one and lost a big one and it's under the comfort of being early in the season. I really think this was a GREAT idea by Hakstol and I hope he does this again next season. This weekend we got the idea of what wins games and what is going to lose games. It's a great indicator of where we are at right here, right now. It's a foundation we will use to build upon and grow from as a team. We're not going to win every game. I'd LOVE to win the same amount of games we did last season maybe a few more. After listening in this weekend, I think it is possible if we can get our discipline working for us. It seems we just got beat where it counted today except for the Shortie. I'm sorry if this ruins what I've posted so far, but I don't think there is any reason ever to give up a short handed goal. It just doesn't make sense how 4 defenders can out shoot 5 offensive players. It doesn't cut it. That's the only part of the game I thought worthy of a good chew out. Our PK all things considered is pretty darn good thanks to the CCHA refs and the new rule crackdown. Anyways, let's take it to Northeastern!
  7. Well one thing is for sure, our PK unit will be tried and true going into our next game. As for Finley, his size made it a penalty waiting to happen.
  8. MSU Scores on a wraparound.
  9. Toews for backchecking (Hooking)
  10. Period over. 9 seconds of PP at the beginning of 2nd Period.
  11. It is truly sad to read what GK relates to as Indians who have "lost their way." To me, it seems like those in Inmed who have gone through the program seem to use what conditions their people are in to motivate them. To think "I know where I've come from, and I may be Sioux, but I am not going to share their lot." They look out for themselves. They are taking the all important first steps to break themselves from the public perception of what it is to be Native American (oppressed, impoverished, downtrodden, utterly dependent) towards the public exception (independent and strong). These students shouldn't be looked down upon because they aren't preoccupied with the plight of their general populace. They should be commended for breaking the stereotype and taking their own steps towards achieving something for themselves and making a name that looks favorably to themselves, their families, their peers, and their people. They don't have to dress like you or "look Indian" whatever that means to be Indian. Just like you don't have to look American to be one. What does an American look like anyways? Those people I am proud of. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for you, GK. For you, only pity and frustration.
  12. TH is saying that the refs called it like the NCAA said they should.
  13. My THree stars: 1. Jordan Parise 2. TJ Oshie (1g 1a) 3. Jonathan Toews
  14. No. Earl dives when there is a stiff breeze
  15. JPar better watch out. He's been known to fall when tripped too.
  16. Greene goes Porter goes for diving. POrter might as well dive. This ref is calling everything. And he did. Evidentally, you can't fall if you are tripped.
  17. Yep to what?
  18. Major penalty on Smaby. That's too bad. BS
  19. Smaby is gone.
  20. Guerin goes. 4x3 for now.
  21. Toews goes for high sticking. JPar is huge again. Brian Lee goes for hooking. 5x3 Miami. This is getting insane.
