Is this saying that, if tonight Prpich takes a 10 foot run at Paukovich from behind and knocks Paukovich out of the game for a shift or two, even if Paukovich isn't injured, that Prpich is to be respected for doing so? Is this what makes a team "respectable" and our fans "the best fans in the WCHA?" I mean, if Gopher fans are arrogant as hell and Sioux fans endorse cheap shots by Sioux players, who's worse? I didn't like Prpich's "love tap" on Paukovich and I do believe he deserved to get a major called on him. Siouxnami said it right. Boy did Smaby clean Carle's clock but he did it CLEANLY. Let's clean Paukovich's clock if we have the opportunity but do it CLEANLY as well. Nothing wrong with Paukovich getting hit cleanly. I guess it was ATLsiouxphan that "set me off" and not necessarily you. I like classiness and I really don't think that we can point fingers at other fans of other teams for classlessness if we ourselves are classless. Win the game.

Exactly. It's what many here have been saying all along. The best revenge on Paukovich is eliminating DU from the NCAAs. If we win tonight, there's a good chance we'll do just that. Seriously: Some of you guys think this Paukovich deal is more important that UND winning! Get a grip!

Dude, you and a few others here have totally lost focus on what the Sioux need to do here. This isn't about Paukovich. You and Goon and a few others don't seem to understand that. What if we do scare Paukovich? What if we scare him silly? And, while we're doing that, DU goes on and scores more goals than we do? Is that worthwhile? "Sure we lost, but dude, we had Paukovich crying all night long!" I could give a royal **** about Paukovich. I could care less about him. I want us to score goals and win the game. If that means enduring another Pauko cheap shot because we ignored him all night long, so be it. Just win baby. Go Sioux.

Post and responses like this remind me of the Elementary school playground. "You cheated!" "Oh yeah?! You're ugly!" "Oh yeah?!" And so on and so forth. It's been claimed and cited that some Red River fans are classless. Instead of saying "Well, maybe some are" and then going on with class, the typical response is for a Red River fan to find something faultworthy of the other team. "Kringstad is a baby!" or "Did you see him do this/that?" Useless finger pointing. I guess that's what I call classless too. If the person is wrong, then correct that person. If that person has cause to feel a certain way and you disagree, disagree. But to disagree by pointing at another team's players and calling them classless in response to such allegations is in itself classless. Is South a classy team? Do they have classy fans? Sure. Are there any classless fans that root for South? I'm positive there are. But I'm not going to point to GFRR's fans and say "Look at what they did vs. Grafton" when someone comes on here (and someone will) claiming South was classless after tonight's game.

I guess I will disagree with the 'diamond in the rough' bit. As I understand the phrase, it's like finding a great thing out of something that wasn't expected to be great in the first place. Players that come to mind fitting that description would be Erik Fabian and Jordan Parise. Most of us knew coming into this year that Toews was something special. There's no doubt that he's going to dominate.

I am looking to buy a single ticket for the Saturday game vs. MTU. I'd love to sit in the lower bowl if at all possible (suites will be fine too! ) Maybe close to the glass in the upper bowl. I watched it twice. The first time I watched it to watch it. The second time I watched the players on his team that weren't in the game and the fans/cheerleaders. That was amazing. There is one player who goes absolutely nuts on that dude's second 3 pointer and beats the crap out of his chair! It makes me think that, not everywhere are there athletes that only have the 'jock' mentality.

Not as sore as I suspect some posters will be should South be victorious tommorrow. GFRR has had South's number all season long. I expect Red River to win 2-1, but I hope for a 3-2 South victory. I almost want South to win more to see what posters like riders06 and the like will say more than the fact that South is my alma mater. In my opinion, even if South loses, I don't feel like second place is bad at all.

I'd love to see a box score. DU announcers flip flopping on the Fabian major. DQ one moment, misconduct the next.... neither collegehockeystats nor uscho have the box scores up yet. UPDATE: collegehockeystats list the Fabian major as a MISCONDUCT not a DQ! Good news in that regard.

I think the worst squirt team in North Carolina could beat them right now unfortunately. Yeah, UND won't finish #2. I don't think they'll finish #3. We have a chance at #4 but that's about it. The question I have is: Which would be better for the PWR, playing SCSU or CC in the play in game?

I agree with jk. I'm tired of this Paukovitch talk. It is amazing that the players can move on well before their fans. Anyways, My players of the game: First Star: Jordan Parise Second Star: Jonathan Toews Third Star: Drew Stafford Honorable Mentions: TJ Oshie, Ryan Duncan I would have put Prpich on the list, but I really think his yapping really took away from the game.

6-2 win. I'll tell you what: DEFENSE baby. JPAR was a big part of it, but again, we didn't let an opponent score 3 on us. I don't like scoring this many goals on a Friday night game. I seem to recall let downs the next game... Tommorrow won't be this lopsided.
