  1. I understand all that but their run of not winning much of anything for 40 years led to a long leash for Stig and the AD to do what they felt was necessary during the transition to D1. Now, they did it correctly and recruited well, invested and stuff. So it was a great story no doubt. There aren't many programs that are going to stay with a guy that long these days and hope it pans out.
  2. We look the same every year. We recruit the same every year. We coach the same every year. Our record is the same every year.
  3. Or we weren't or aren't willing to try so why worry about it
  4. NDSU and SDSU seem to have no issues at all finding tall athletic QBs that can extend drives with their feet and execute designed runs. Smaller guys can’t drag anybody or fight for yards or withstand a lot of hits
  5. We prefer ALL of our quarterbacks be 6'1" or below. Winning formula
  6. Hard to argue that Demontagnac has dropped quite a few passes this season and hasn't done much really
  7. They also had never had an ounce of success in their history and weren't playing in the same state as the perennial national champion. SDSU had very little expectations upon them until very recently.
  8. When is the last time we had an all-conference level QB? One of the top two QB's in the conference and a guy who made plays out of nothing, dominated games?
  9. Don’t d2 and the lower levels have a different timeline? Not certain on that but..
  10. Should tell us about the prowess of the backups then
  11. lol at SDSU. Think a lot lower
  12. "I've got to do a better job to get our team ready to go on the road and play high-ranked teams in the country," Schweigert said. "I'm going to take a look at how we're preparing. It’s year 11.
  13. Why do all the other teams have a tall, athletic, strong-armed QB and UND does not, like ever?
  14. Lets think for a sec - how does change come about in college athletics? Apathy, losing, loss of revenue, declining interest, donors checking out...... I am not saying they NEED to stop going to games, it just happens. And right now it isn't happening.
  15. have you seen our team in the Alerus Center? There is ALWAYS a chance
  16. That was exhausting from a standpoint of our "hopes" were so high but reality kicked in, again. The thing is our die-hard fanbase is big enough that it doesn't matter to the AD. Attendance is up (due to the 4 wins) and that is all that matters because it means things must be going alright. Which is the state of the program for the last 17 years - alright.
  17. So……we staring right down the barrel of yet another 7-5 season?
  18. No, but if we tail off at the end of season and look like the living dead then yes we will
  19. Correct
  20. Settle down bud
  21. Tiring watching this program look shell shocked vs any good team on the road
  22. Because it was 8 yards deep in end zone
  23. You take Payton. I will take Miller. Let's see who runs the better offense
  24. I wish for the ball to not be in the hands of the best QB in the country.
  25. I would be all for them running Payton as much as possible
