Agreed but I think Erikson had the counting stats. Like you said, would be a shock if Dissette doesn’t win.

    Erickson 16.8 ppg, 10 rpg, 2.4 apg, 1.1 blk

    Doppler 14.4 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 3.7 apg, 2.6 stl.

Century was pretty balanced with 4 players averaging between 13.6 and 16.8 points per game

It looks like the place where the FF pregame party was - Boston or Philly (?) a few years ago. Here's a funny story. UND had the first, second and third floors. Someone from another fanbase came in, looked a "tad" confused, and asked where their team's party was. I told him it's on the forth floor. The look on his face was priceless.

That was in Boston and it was Omaha.

This is their fourth year of countable competition and that’s all you get.

The 2020-21 is not a countable year for anyone.

Yeah, not really arguing the semantics just pointing out that while 20-21 didn't count for anyone, most players played around 30 games that year while their school played 0.

Sidorski is a grad transfer I believe but Jandric was a transfer I believe....Just find it odd that somehow Lindsay Scott Jr. found his way onto a college football roster for 6 teams over 7 years.

You get four seasons of play/competition.
You get five academic years to complete them.

The 2020-21 year does not count towards either category (season of play or academic year).

Unless you stay at your original school to work on your degree and your school chooses or does not play at all that year....then apparently you do not get the 5th year. So I get it is one or the other, 5 years to play 4 years or 5 years to play 5 with a Covid season. To me it seems like it should be a redshirt year as it seems plenty of guys in football have used  6 years to play 5.

    Jandric

    Sidorski

Why don't you ask Aanen Moody if it is true that Sather kicked him off the team because he had a kid? That it wasn't his decision to transfer and that Sather truly kicked him off for the kid. That will give you a lot of answers you're looking for Zach

I didn't realize Moody had a kid until this year. I wanted to see him do well at UND but I had always assumed they parted ways because Moody either wasn't interested in or capable of guarding anyone.

One year we won the third place game, which gave us an at-large berth, IIRC.

We beat Western Michigan 5-0 for 3rd in 2014 and then made the bar turn off NCAA basketball so we could watch Wisconsin come from down 4-2 with 7 minutes left to beat Ohio State. An Ohio State win would have eliminated us. The we went to Cincinnati and thanked Bucky for getting us in the tournament by sending them packing in the first round.....we won't talk about what happened 2 weeks later.

And can pretty much say the same thing I’m guessing for UND had they not blown a 2 goal lead and lost 3-2 to AZ State and had they beaten Bemidji State in the game they tied them.

Hang on Friday night against Quinnipiac(had 5-4 lead in third and ended up tying), hang on Friday night at Minnesota(Gophers score with extra attacker and win in OT), and the Arizona State game and Bemidji St. tie and we are #8....something about ifs and buts

Omaha is not a bad team. They took 3 out of 4 from Western Michigan and Duluth, split with Denver in Denver, and split with St. Cloud and Alaska at home. They lost 2 early 1 goal games to Niagara at home early and went 1-2-1 against CC, or they might be in the tournament.

Yep. flip those Niagara games and they are sitting comfortably at #13 right now.

Alaska is currently 15th in the PW and with them being an independent team, it's highly unlikely they make the tournament, especially with a few upsets going on.
A good way to not worry about the PW is to just win your games and leave no doubt.

The need merimack to lose and no upsets in conference tournaments

Wish they got Tennessee instead, that's a more winnable game.

If this was Duke of 3 weeks ago, definitely winnable.

    Not so much now

If they had drawn Miami or San Diego State I would have picked them and maybe against St. Mary's as well.

  11. The potential field for the NCAA Tournament is quite a bit smaller after the weekend.
    11 teams are in.--
    Minnesota
    Quinnipiac
    Denver
    Michigan
    BU
    Harvard
    SCSU
    Penn State
    Ohio State
    Michigan Tech
    Western Michigan
1 Team will have conference auto bid...Atlantic Hockey
    Holy Cross or Canisius
2 teams are all but in. Would take an extraordinary set of circumstances to not get in.
    Cornell
    Minnesota State
2 Teams hanging on...have to hope their are no conference upsets. For Alaska it also means they need Merrimack to lose.
    Merrimack
    Alaska

Teams still in contention. Teams with * would be stealing a spot from the teams at bottom of list above if they win their way in.
    B10
    Michigan vs. Minnesota
    Hockey East
    Providence* vs. BU
    Mass-Lowell* vs. Merrimack
    ECAC
    Colgate* vs. Quinnipiac
    Cornell vs. Harvard
    NCHC
    Colorado College * vs. Denver
    UND* vs. SCSU
    CCHA
    Northern Michigan* vs. Minnesota State

Potential for only the top 11 being in the Tournament.

I think maybe 21, 18 and 4 dress tonight and have fresh legs and something to prove.

Not opposed but the guys they would be replacing should be pretty fresh as well as Ness, Portz, Kunz, Albrecht, Bast, and Farmer have not had an abundance of minutes the last couple nights.

I'd agree, Doppler is more consistent than Erickson but seems like Erickson is turning it on now that the games matter more. The one thing that does concerns me about Doppler is how much he relies on making tough shots. But yeah neither should be in the rotation next year, they both could develop into solid players though after a couple seasons.

Doppler had  rough game yesterday but had a nice game today. I thought he was their most consistent player most of the season. Erickson had a nice game yesterday but was not much of a factor today.

I think we win tonight.  Regardless of winning or losing tonight, winning Saturday will be very tough.  I'll count that as a loss.  I don't see us sweeping.  Sunday will be a good game, but I think our guys have the will to get it done in a tight one (1 goal regulation win - 2 if the last is ENG).  That would put us (in all likelihood) in a semi-final against Denver in St. Paul.  We'd have the crowd on our side for that one, though the NCHC semi-final has been a bugaboo for UND for years.  With backs up against the wall, and Denver maybe disinterested in expelling a great deal of energy on that game, we maybe find a way to win.  Where would that put us in the pairwise?  Enough that we wouldn't need to win the NCHC championship?  Oh hell, let's just win the NCHC championship :)

We have a 1.5% chance of finishing in the top 13 and a 2.5% chance of finishing in the top 14 in the pairwise.

I can get us to #15 after Saturday night with a sweep and RIT, UConn, Northeastern, Merrimack, and cornell all getting swept and Sparty losing to Minnesota.
