Also sued The New York Times, Rolling Stone, ABC and CBS...not sure if these are still active? I know they tried to dismiss and were shot down.
Rolling Stone should be sued until they are out of business at this point.

There are a thousand teams out there that are the hawks. The one I truly hoped for was Nodaks when they decided that we needed a nickname, but I was in the minority there I guess. New alternate looks good IMHO.
No Name would have been good and by good I mean better than Fighting Hawks. The name was bland but then they had a 4th grader come up with the worst logo in college sports.
Kelly would have been good as well....like Stanford Cardinal
If we were going to go with Hawks we should have gone with a more specific bird/hawk, Peregrines have local interest and are the fastest animal on the planet.

We would need a very convincing win at SDSU and SFA, EKU, Weber State, William & Mary, Rhode Island, UNI, Chattanooga, VMI to all lose and I think a couple of them play each other and even these teams losing would only make us part of the conversation but wouldn't be enough.

Kleven has definitely dialed back the physical part of his game a bit, but it is good to put a couple "you tube" hits on tape for consumption and general information. You can tell by some of the decision making the Denver forwards made over the weekend that for the most part they were very aware every time Tyler was on the ice and that is a good thing and now the rest of the league has a little reminder as to why.
The hit along the boards was a textbook hit that NHL scouts salivate over. The linesmen kind of got in the way and the kid started to bail when he knew he had made an error in judgement.

How is it that on 3rd and 4 or 3rd and 8 for that matter that we have to have a wide receiver make a play to pick up a first down? Can't we throw a pass past the sticks?
i swear we could complete 3 passes on a drive and punt on 4th because we still need 5 yards

True story. i used to play Fastpitch in Grand Forks and our sponsor was none other than the Ambassador Hotel. Roxanne Jensen and her husband were the owners back then.
The only time I personally used their accomodations was when a couple Canadian Co-Eds invited myself and a friend back to their room from the bar. Things got a little dicey when the guys they were with showed up about an hour later after going for some food.

The scoreboard clock in the Barn counted up from 0:00 to 20:00. After a goal, Vojtech BustedJaw the scorekeeper would just look up and see how far they were into the period, and write the time down.
The reason it is important to know when things happen in a hockey game is because of the way penalties work. In football, it’s 5, 10, or 15 yards, in basketball it’s free shots. In hockey penalties are 2:00 or 5:00 (Misconducts are 10), maybe even a booth, sometimes a free shot on the goalie. You can look at a box score and see that Honza Toothless got 2 minutes for roughing (by referee Ladislav Step&aHalf) at 11:21 into the first. Then you can see that the next thing to happen was Jacques TripleLipp put in a goal at 13:23. You know that Jacques put in the goal just as Honza was coming out of the box. You could tell that if Jacques had put it in 3 seconds sooner it would have been a power play goal; or at the same 3 seconds sooner a short handed goal if opponent Pavel OneNut put in a one timer from Matej SharpTooth on goalie Hynek BlinkEye.
