Could you switch UNO and SCSU around please?
all at 33 points
UNO--@Miami, SCSU, @UND
SCSU--@UND, @UNO, UMD
WMU--CC, DU, @Miami
Schedule favors WMU. I see 3 splits for SCSU the way they are currently playing.

I’m guessing that we will pass UMD and CC in the standings before the end. They have tougher remaining schedules and hopefully UND can claw out some points this weekend.
We won’t get enough points for home ice though. My guess is we’ll be 5th seed traveling to #4 for the first round.Looking at schedule i think it shakes out this way
1. Denver
2. WMU
3. UNO
4. SCSU
5. UND
5. UMD
7. CC
8. Miami

I watched the Kleven video: really? That's five and the gate these days?
Frattin would've been sent to Supermax for what he did
Watched it several times and slowed it down. That is a coin flip 2 minute penalty for charging at most.

Portz out and must have flipped a coin between Farmer and Moore.

We simply can’t take a penalty 13 seconds in. Even worse, a senior member of the team.
And I was actually excited when I heard the whistle 13 seconds into the game as I figured they were calling interference on Justin Lee who blasted Albrecht after he had dumped the puck and put a little extra into it or on an elbowing/interference penalty on Webster who hit Albrecht as he recovered from the Lee hit. Watching it live I was even thinking it looked like the elbow might have been to the head(replay showed it should have just been a 2 minute interference or elbowing penalty) and we would get a 5 minute power play to start the game. Then I saw the replay and was like !@#$, well that is a penalty on Hain for sure. Kind of got a bad feeling as we are 13 seconds into the game and Denver has committed two pretty obvious penalties and Hain had an obvious penalty but the only 1 of the 3 they called was the 3rd one committed.

Hain ready to play, but Schmaltz will still be out along with Montgomery.
As expected. The league wouldn't want DU to be shorthanded. Now, if Kleven would have been involved in that melee, he would have been retroactively given a game or two suspension.
Hopefully this is accurate as I heard we might potentially be down an additonal forward this weekend.

5-1 down the stretch should be the minimum expectation.

Umm, I am pretty sure he scored a goal in the national championship game.
Travis never scored a goal for UND in 62 games. I remember Travis in a self depreciating way and Pat Sweeney referencing it quite a bit during the 96-97 season as Mitch Vig was approaching the somewhat "dubious" record and then finally got a goal about half way through the season to give him 1 goal in his first 76 games at UND...must have broke the seal though as he potted 4 the following year.

I didn't watch the game live but finally caught it on the DVR the other night. Schlossman's tweet, and a lot of the discussion on the board here, made it seem like they actually changed the call to add something new. In reality, during the game the ref did announce the 5 min major AND game misconduct....although he also stated it to be on "North Dakota's number 28", which obviously was wrong. Given the fairly violent nature of the cross-check to the head of the MIami guy, the misconduct was warranted. Blame the box workers for not recording it correctly, and maybe blame the refs for not checking the sheet more closely after the game before signing, especially since the infraction had just taken place, but what the league did actually seemed reasonable. Hopefully their comment about quality officiating and personnel matters being handled internally means that there will also be a little discipline to the officials for the mix up, but that probably depends on how much Don Adam likes them.
Still waiting for an extra 2-3 game suspension to the Miami player who tried to perform a circumcision.

Whatever he said, it will be interesting to see what happens the next time these teams play. Zegras is overrated and nobody should be surprised if we hear that he's locker room cancer.
Learned all I wanted about him when he was whistling the National Anthem during World Juniors.

#20 in the pairwise.
Looking at the teams ahead of us and the comparisons we need to flip.
The comparisons with Northeastern, Sparty, and UConn will likely all flip in our favor as we have the common opponent comparison and our RPI should surpass them just based on who we play and who they play.
We can't flip the common opponent comparison with RIT but again we should just naturally pass them in RPi just based on schedule remaining.
UNO is totally in our hands to flip.
Notre Dame, we have the common opponent comparison and the RPI will come down to winning and losing as schedules are comparable.
We are losing the common opponent comparison with Tech and Mankato but Mankato is flippable with a sweep against SCSU. RPI might be a little tougher as they both play mostly top half of the CCHA to finish the regular season....losses by them would help.
Cornell could also be flipped as we have the common opponent comparison and their schedule to finish is not strong and if you mix in a bad loss we could overtake them there as well.
All this said we probably need to sweep CC and UNO and split with Denver and SCSU to give ourselves any shot of an at large bid.

I saw Ness out there I think. He should be out there for the entire power play honestly.
In a game like that I am a "show me the penalty" and "Ill show you which power play unit goes out" guy
tripping or holding---4th line
cross check, roughing, slashing--fu$% you, how about another bite.

Just curious, was he out there with the rest of the number one unit, or was he out there to reward him a chance at the hat trick?
Blake was out as well.

Was the kick before or after the crosscheck?
The kick was after Kleven's cross check and also after Dukovac's cross check on Kleven which wasn't assessed as a penalty.
The whole thing starts when Waldron cross checks Kleven and they get into minor skirmish by the net...the puck is 20 feet away and going the other direction. Kleven pushes him away but gives him one extra check and hits him in the head and shoulder area and and gets jumped from behind by Dukovac who tries to cross check him in the head but Kleven turns to face him at last second and deflects if a bit and the go down with Dukovac ripping his helmet off which I believe would also be contact to the head...this was also not called. Kleven gets up and tries to move away and Dukovac grabs his arm and Kleven pushed him away and then Dukovac tries to perform a circumcision with his skate.

Seems curious to me why Berry even had Kleven on the ice for the final minute of the game. It felt like Miami was purposely going after Kleven, trying to bait him.
To be fair, Miami was purposely going after all of our players for the last 5-6 minutes of the game.

IN A WEEKEND? I think that would define my four year career in Grand Forks.
Saturday nights after UND hockey games when I was in college meant getting out to the Antique quickly after the game to get some "time" in before Hrkac and the boys showed up.....unless we happened to be throwing an All Campus party that evening.

Sucks we lost but fun to watch a guy just go completely unconscious. Off balance, 25 footers with a guy in his face...didn't matter. Ended up 16-21, 9-12 from 3 and 5-5 from the line.

Good news is we only have to play a solid 40 tonight since the first 20 was a complete sh!tshow

Had a chance to watch Century vs Minot last night
Dissette - only true d1 athlete on the floor. Will make an impact at this level just with his length, athleticism, and hustle. If he develops a jumpshot can be a good player in the Summit League
Doppler - came away a little more optimistic than I was before the game. Crafty scorer, plays at a good pace offensively. Like a lot of Sather recruits, I’m not sure if he’s athletic enough for this level
Erickson - underwhelming would be putting it lightly. Complete project in my opinion. A lot to work on before he’s ready to play d1 basketball
Watched this as well.
Dissette was best athlete on the floor and Doppler was the best basketball player on the floor last night.

Can someone who watched the game help me out. I heard this skirmish on the radio on my way to a friends surprise birthday party and finally saw the replay today, but just the action, not what followed. Hennessey was obviously describing the action that started with Caponi's cheap shots.
So the refs went into the video review to determine whether Caponi should get a major for head contact. Did Denver ask for a review of a possible missed major on Hain or had a linesman see it and brought it to refs attention because they obviously did not call a penalty on Hain during live action as UND had control of the puck and play continued. Because if neither of these things happened I am pretty sure the rulebook does not allow you to find a penalty that you had missed while looking at a play that happened 10 seconds later unless either the linesman had brought it to your attention or Denver bench had asked for a review for a possible major as they can't review for a possible minor penalty they missed
