  1. Alright, it's nearly game time so let's get this going.

I expect to see Persson in next tonight based on what Bubs said on Wednesday, but we'll see.

UNO is going to come out hard, in theory, and if we can match that, we're better and we'll be fine. UNO should be pretty desperate, but hey, we're better. Go prove it.

    UND wins 5-3

    Blake x2, Perron, Strinden, Pyke

Mop the floor with little brother to the south. Be sure to tweet sensical things to mavpuck on twitter to get blocked. All Omaha people say is how much they hate UND weekends. Make them hate it more by winning.

    We're their biggest rival.... lol.

With the way the Sections are set-up you were going to lose 4 of the top 6 teams in the state heading into the State Tournament.

Yep. Funny, because they made that big switch like 10 years ago or whenever it was with splitting up EP, Wayzata, Benilde, but it lead to what we have now.

Unfortunately I'm with you. I actually think this may be one of the worst AA tourney's in sometime. At least on paper, all the best teams got beat in sections. I hope I'm wrong but the quarterfinals could be a little like class A with some serious blowouts.

Wayzata and Minnetonka both got beat in section finals, but could be among the best teams in the state. If I'm not mistaken, Wayzata was No. 3 and Tonka No. 1. Looking at the participants, I think it's Edina the clear favorite, Chan as a distant second and the rest are significantly behind.

Looking forward to seeing only northern team in aa do some damage hopefully grand rapids

all the cities people were bragging about being an all metro tourney till gr won

also looking forward to warroad scc which very well could be the title fame

Haven't seen much of Cathedral, but gonna watch this game, for sure. Up quick on Northfield.

Unfortunately. I think Edina rolls in AA. Chanhassen is good, but they definitely should not have beaten Tonka.

Giving Hobie a start in net is a good idea. You never know when you'll need him and he has shown he can play at this level.

We should take advantage of our depth and rest guys that are banged up. Give everybody some playing time so they are somewhat prepared if we need to put them in during the playoffs.

I agree with this and I argue that's the reason NOT to start him. He's capable and we've learned that, so why not put our best on the ice? Just to clarify, I'm playing Devil's Advocate because I keep going back and forth with this idea myself lol.

Definitely agree to give banged up guys a rest, for sure.

  7. I go back and forth debating if we should rest guys, get Hobie a night in net. From everything I've seen and dug into for the PWR predictor, we're pretty solidly stuck in third for the time being, but certainly can go up or down if we don't get some points this weekend.

Personally, I'd LOVE to sweep UNO and make them have to run the gauntlet in the NCHC tourney to be able to keep us out of Sioux Falls. They impressed me last time we played them, but clearly have been inconsistent all season.

Let's sweep these guys. All cylinders firing heading into the playoffs.

    One could argue Miami?

    Miami.

    That's it.

The fifth place team in our eight team league pushed us to the limit at home this past weekend and they are on the bubble for making the NCAA tournament.

Heck, even Miami can steal points from you if you don't show up ready to play.

Exactly. We beat Tech 11-2 in 2011. We tied Miami this season.

Discussion is ok.  I'm a fan of both guys, but regarding league titles, I'd say Hak coached in a tougher league (WCHA with MN and WI) for most of his years.

No way! Anchorage and Tech.... there are no Anchorage's or Tech's in the NCHC.
