  1. I think both can happen -- most like to complain, and they can have legit gripes. There's A LOT left to be desired from this season's team, but pinning a players progression, or regression for that matter, only on the coaching staff is just dumb. Feels like a lack of accountability pressed towards the player. Both sides needed to grow quicker. Overall, I'd say the staff was slow to adjust this season. They eventually took the steps to become a defensive team, but it was just too late.
  2. I'd guess that is a major priority.
  3. Fair enough. Farmer bummed me out. Kid was really, really good at UMass on the defensive side. C'est la vie, no?
  4. Did it though? He started playing well his last handful of games, but he never showed enough defensively, IMO.
  5. Oh, I agree with you. I was just saying that I think that could have been the defense of why it happened. Very happy they are likely to bring in a bunch of freshman. Gonna be a rough start to 23-24, but it'll do nothing but make things better down the line.
  6. Again, can we drop this premise that Johnson would have some how magically progressed had he played more games? The decision not to play him was based on games and practice. If he was progressing in practice, he would have gotten ice.
  7. Maybe it's a defense of the guys we did get from the portal in Farmer and Sidorski? Farmer was inconsistent, but Sidorski was our 3rd or 4th best defensemen for most of the season. Point still stands, I would have liked to have more than just Cooper Moore coming back for 23-24. Now, portal is a must.
  8. He's implying that Kleven is gonna get sent down when his first year of his ELC is burned.
  9. Never got the chance to meet him, but everyone I know that is connected to him at UND says he just a great kid and awesome to be around. Great leader.
  10. Agreed. Someone taught this kid well, apparently.
  11. Right. I'm confused at what you're saying. I know how it works.
  12. On queue. Welp, that's real crappy for us, but very, very cool for him.
  13. Unfortunately, I'm thinking it's gonna be Moore, but I hope I'm wrong.
  14. Right to the show. Good for him. Pretty cool to be there with Sandy and Pinto. I bet those boys are gonna have a damn fun time together. Gonna miss this dude. Kid reached his peak down the stretch this season, turning into a more responsible and patient player defensively and added continued offense. Cheers, Klevo. We'll miss you!
  15. You're getting it!
  16. They've been pointed out ad nauseum, man. We all get it. It's just be absolutely slaughtered into the ground over and over and it's exhausting
  17. Man, he was a pure, unabashed thief.
  18. Fair, but I think he certainly can play the "netter"* role, if needed. Kid has a good shot, not great, but good. Can dangle through anyone and while yes, this is a primary "setter"* trait, his skill is unique enough where he can be the "netter"* (*trying to coax more GSN usage out of you -- embrace it)
  19. I don't hate this. Would sign up for it, for sure.
  20. HA! Always been my premise. Others have stolen my brilliance
  21. I think we'd need someone who could pot in that spot. Perron (setter), Strinden (getter), James/Blake/Gaber? (netter)
  22. I remember hearing about him a couple years ago when Clarkson was a decent team. Numbers look good to me. Love the size. I think I'd give a slight edge to Persson simply because he's familiar with the NCHC, but Haider wouldn't suck
  23. I don't have concern that they can't get it back, but that they'll need to get back into position and avoid a rush if they miss on a pass or lose a puck battle. Gaber and Blake are pretty good at getting back into a play when they need to and can dig out a puck from the corner just fine, but those three tend to shade to their offense end, for sure.
  24. May want to get that looked at.
