I think he will, too. NHL goalies need to be good at two things, IMO ... Positioning and shot/rebound control. Zane is great at both. I hope he stays one more year so can become a UFA and NEVER play for Boston ... Gonna be a treat to see this kid move on. Hopefully with a couple green banners in the rafters behind him
-
I expect it with Zane being the catalyst. They're only one week removed from a good win on Friday and a gritty, dramatic sweep on Saturday. I have the faith that the boys will find it. Can't wait til Friday.
-
Wow. Good for them. Cool to see their fanbase get behind a stellar squad. Looking forward to seeing them play this weekend.
-
It really is ridiculous. Two weekends ago after the sweep against CC, people were saying this was one of their favorite UND teams of all time because of how hard they worked and how they played and now after their first "losing streak" of two game in TWO YEARS, we all bury them. I understand criticism, after last weekend they certainly deserved it, but good lord, everyone is just mailing in the weekend. I don't get it. It was two poor games. It happened, move on.

No, no he's not. That's against the law. He's never the one who says that stuff. You're literally making stuff up. That stuff comes out through the media after the season. Hajdu cannot do this. It's BS for you to say that.

I really do believe we have yet to see the final level Zane can go to at UND. Special, special player. Last year's regional final was the start of something special and this year continued that. This tournament will be his legacy. I've known Zane since he was a kid, coaching him in little league baseball. He's just a great person and has always worked harder than everyone around him. He's loved the Sioux since the day he picked up a hockey stick. It's in his blood. Cheers, bud. If this really is your last go in the Green and White, it's surely been a pleasure. Put this team on your back and take them to the promise land, young man!

There is is. I agree completely. Book it, Ox.

Thank god. You gotta have the smiley, man. I can't read inflection

EXACTLY. Thank you. Again... EXACTLY. Thank you.

I said that nothing needed to be changed? No. I said throwing a defenseman who's NEVER PLAYED FORWARD BEFORE into a NCAA TOURNAMENT GAME, is too risky. And I'm extremely confused how any of you could think it's a good idea. But, nonetheless, think away. To each, their own. It's just not going to happen.

How long will we have to figure out if the Mattson experiment will work? 1 period? It's win or go home. So then if it didn't work, you'd move Panz there and completely make the Mattson experiment irrelevant. By that move, you reduce all-around skill on the forward group when improving skill was the reason for the move in the first place. It's just not gonna happen. Marto had a bunch of games down the stretch to get ready for that kind of change. Throwing Mattson in as a F in the NCAA tournament is just too risky.
-
I agree... but neither really meant s*it
-
Yeah, sorry, but not a chance a senior defenseman who's scored the team's leading point total since Christmas moves from the point for the first time in his career in the NCAA tournament lol. Also, moving Panz to forward doesn't add more skill.

Ugh. So much has been made of Murphy being "so good in practice"... It just hasn't translated come game time. I'd must rather see a guy like Saint in and Olson, too. Simo I think is a lock at this point.
-
One game just not give him enough clout to play in a NCAA tourney game, IMO.
-
You're just making bulls*it up, at this point. It's AGAINST THE LAW to release any kind of "injury list"... that's never happened and it never will .... this nonsense has got to stop. We are essentially blaming the SID here. What are we doing?! This stuff is just getting old.
-
I don't think there's any way Murphy is in on Friday.
-
Good lord, this thread.
-
We played like garbage, we all know this... Now it's time to move on, man. It's time for the big dance.
-
I disagree and evidently so does at least some of the team.
-
I don't disagree, but I think depth has importance, still. Regardless of TV timeouts, legs still get tired. Also, having the ability to roll out four lines with varying styles keeps the opponent guessing a bit.
-
Exactly. High aspirations, low expectations.
-
I'm sure there will be many more that pick Miami to win it all. Good team and we all know it.
-
^^^This is exactly what I was thinking. Gotta play well to have fun and to play well, you gotta work.
