Gotcha. Sorry, man. Thought you were talking about the overarching reasoning for the thread. Never meant it as a personal attack at you. Again, I just think it's dumb we are attacking a guy for this.
-
You're spot on, Biz. My guess is that's exactly why he made the change. We'll never know until we ask him. In the meantime, we (as a collective of SiouxSports) could have avoided insulting the guy, right?
-
Fair enough. What point am I missing? I just said that if it's an official account, it probably should have that kind of stuff being said. He made the switch, so why is it a problem? The point of the thread, however, was to figure out why this happened and I think that's incredibly silly.
-
Then unfollow him! See what I'm saying lol? Seems like he made the switch to make it clear the account is his personal Twitter. Dude spends overwhelmingly more time tweeting on UND sports than anything else, so you are getting plenty of that.
-
Sweet spelling.
-
100% agree with all of that. My guess, he realized that his affiliation with UND should be separate, and he made the switch. Seems like an inherently simple answer that did not need a thread that spent two pages ripping on the guy, childishly.
-
Again, if it's his personal account, he's got every right to say what he wants. No one has any idea if it is or not.
-
Maybe he changed his account to @UNDSID
-
Oh, Canada I'm very calm, but wondering why we need a thread. All he has to do is ask the guy. And it would end any and all speculation and childish pot shots at the dude.
-
Ok. Not a problem. Moving on. So, about you asking him about it.... you should do that. He's a public figure.
-
Right, but by starting this thread, you created the problem. Anyway, still wondering why you won't just ask him since it's clear you're interested.
-
Several people are. It sure is a legitimate question. You should ask him. Instead of creating a thread on SiouxSports that's full of speculation.
-
Why? Because you said so? Maybe he agrees that it's a bit of a confusion and that's why he changed it? Again, just ask him! Tweet or email him. I BET he responds. Until that point, you're coming off childish and as someone who just doesn't like what he has to say. Unfollow him and leave it be. If I'm wrong and it's a UND account, I'd gladly eat crow on this.
-
A bait-and-switch? Good lord, man lol. What would the reasoning be? Why don't you just ask him on twitter or email him or something? I think it would make more sense that it was his personal account and he decided to switch it. In this case, that "noise" are his interests and beliefs and he has every right to talk about that. Before crucifying the guy, maybe try and get the story straight. At this point, we have a thread on here that is full of garbage that is personally attacking this guy. Stupid and childish.

I just don't think they sit Olson with us playing WMU. Need to have a guy that can bang. I flip Hoff and Wilkie and bring in Olson to Wilkie's spot. I also still wouldn't mind seeing Jost, Gersich and Boeser back together, just to see if it can click. If not, I like your lineup.
-
I'm pretty sure it's his personal account. He just named it UNDSID. So, HOW DARE HE SHARE PERSONAL THINGS ON HIS PERSONAL ACCOUNT
-
Me too

Also, there are intangible things, too. Simo is a leader on the team. Not many guys have that role. However, I do agree with you about us needing him to produce more.
-
Simo isn't a scorer. That's not his role. His role is to be steady up the middle, to forecheck like a banshee and play responsible in his zone. I like Gornall a lot, but Simo certainly brings an important piece, IMO. It's not ALL about scoring goals.
-
That's fair, I just think we need Brock going, first.
-
I feel like Jost and Gersich's games complement each other. To me, they have to be on the same line.
-
I forgot Hoff, but I am not sure that I need him in the lineup, at this point. I like Smith and Gornall's energy a lot. I kept Brock there just for the spark factor.
-
100% agree.
-
In all honesty, I forgot about Hoff. With that said, I am not sure I'd prefer him over anyone at this point.
-
Good points on all. I just think putting Jost and Boeser back together could spark Brock. I also definitely see that having these two and Gersh together creates a lack of depth, for sure. That being said, I still say we give it a shot. This is how I'd go: Gersh Jost Boeser Pogo Gardner JJ Yon Bowen Gornall Smith Simo Olson
