Their numbers are incredibly similar. My basis of opinion is on his experience and what I've seen of Thome. I like Thome, but he gets out of position a little bit too much for my liking.
I'm absolutely 100% on board with the idea of not HAVING to start Cam. I think his play hasn't been fantastic and that earns Thome some starts. But, I do think Cam is better at the moment and I do think his experience is an important piece. Bubbs trusts Cam.
Yeah, it's comical to defend a guy who just gave up 4 goals all weekend to DU. Sheesh. He's the better goalie, right now. Is Thome the better talent? Probably. But, right now, Cam is the best goaltender on our team.
No, because Ryan Duncan isn't a prototype body for the position he plays, like Pogo is, and which most power forwards are and yes, what pogo is, a true 2nd line scorer.
I'm just all done with everyone whining about what everyone isn't.
Seems very realistic based on how we played the majority of the season. Last weekend? Not so much.
I'm still hopeful and apparently more optimistic than most on here haha.
