  1. That would be a shame. He's really been great, IMO. Can't say I'm surprised as he's really talented and I'm sure he's moving up to help his career.
  2. Anyone know anything about this kid? Seems like a good get. No. 86 by Central Scouting. Probably a 2020 guy.
  3. No, my "argument" was that Gage committed to another team, another coach (not Hak) and when that coach left, he came to UND. You were using Trey committing as a slight on Bubbs, but he was the one who actually got him to commit. Regardless if he was a "shoe-in", he got the job done.
  4. Not trying to start an argument, just disagreeing with your opinion. I said it's mind blowing, "to me". When did I say that I don't see a dip from the 20 year trend of success? Of course it's a dip. We haven't made the playoffs. It's not a loser mentality to take a deep breath and realize it's not really that bad. We're close and our recruiting can absolutely help us get back to where we need to be. The perspective I'm asking for is the perception that we are so far off. We're not, IMO that's why I replied. If you want to have the opinion that we are, that's fine. I disagree. I don't know what needs to be tweaked, but I'd like your opinion on it. If we have actual things to discuss rather than "we've gotta fire this guy" or "we've gotta cut this kid", etc, I think I'd be less frustrated with the conversation. All of this roundabout for a bunch of guys on a message board who don't actually coach college hockey, haven't coached in the pros and didn't play in the NHL. Not that these are all prerequisites to criticize, but these things all get so overblown. I'll mightily argue against Jost leaving for his concerns over his development because it's just simply not true.
  5. Dude, you apparently need a new hobby. Seems like this program is causing you too much stress. Goodness. By the way, Gage originally committed to Denver and only came to UND after Gwoz left. So, how about giving Bubbs a bit of credit nabbing Trey?
  6. Resiliency??? To watch hockey? C'mon, man. None of us like losing, but the lack of perspective just 3 years removed from a national championship after a 20 year run of hockey that's all but unprecedented, is absolutely mind blowing to me. Also, you're flat wrong insinuating Jost left for concern over his development. Just flat out wrong.
  7. Really impressive year as a freshman for a top flight HS hockey program. Definitely a good start for this kid.
  8. But they are. That's the problem. I'm not sure what the expectation is. Are the players supposed to throw teammates under the bus? Are the coaches supposed to do the same? Sure seems that's what some on here want.
  9. I guess I just don't buy that. I've never thought one time the players or coaches think missing the tournament is acceptable. Post game comments are nothing but cliches. This is college hockey. Calling out of players by teammates and coaches just won't happen.
  10. Culture? Is that that thing we all love and talk about when we win, but detest and mock when we lose? I'm just checking.
  11. Frisch is coming in next year to UND. I'm not so sure whom Exiled One was referring to, but if it's Frisch, I think we are believe he's gotten wrong info.
  12. Haha very, very true.
  13. "Hate" is incredibly relative to the situation lol.
  14. DU is still my No. 2 and Wisco my No. 3 because of the length of the hate. Another half decade of annoying may push Duluth up higher, for me. The Bulldogs were so irrelevant for so long before the late 2000s, I never really hated them.
  15. 5 years ago I would have been lukewarm on Duluth. Now, it's strong.
  16. My list is relative short, but they are strong hates haha: - Minny, DU, Wisconsin, UMD, BU, BC.
  17. Not so sure it's set as I've heard Peski may have a decision to make, but even with him potentially leaving, that corps is rock solid and will be for several years.
  18. Being able to play top line minutes is also a big consideration. He'd be a key cog next year.
  19. I definitely think you're right about taking the next step. I am concerned of our lack of centers, though. I think Michaud would step in to the No. 1 center simply because I don't want Senden to break from Smith/Hain. I don't think Weatherby is ready for a No. 1 center spot. Plus, Michaud is a really good player.
  20. He'd be our top line center. Without a doubt.
  21. I just can't cheer for my rivals. I get the sentiment, but we don't need more help in regards to being the best conference in college hockey. I'd rather Clown just lose lol.
  22. NCHC started play in 2013-14. Sorry, I had to be that guy. We didn't win a title the first two years in existence and we've won the next three!
  23. I've got them at No. 16 and it's not close haha.
  24. Agreed.
