  1. Please don't LOL this.... it terrifies me to think about. We all remember Canisius.
  2. I'm good with this. Prediction... *DU beats Omaha in the first round of the NCHC tournament. *Hoping to be featured on a future UNO tweet
  3. Yep, both on the PP. Pretty dang good for our boys.
  4. Are we talking for the fans to chant at the games? Ala "Ho-bey Dun-can"? Pinto-bey took me a minute, but once I got it, I LOLed. Hobey Baker(ed) Pinto Beans? LOL
  5. Yep. Miami has lost all its luster it had coming into the league.
  6. It happens. Mankato was in the WCHA with us longer than UNO has been in NCHC, so the "rivalries" run deep lol
  7. To each, their own, my friend. I'm a big fan
  8. Red Cows... also the name of a fantastic burger place in MPLS lol.
  9. Good stuff, Sic. Blew my mind, but I was like... ok? Well, thanks? LOL.
  10. Again, we showed we are a dominant team 5 on 5, no matter who we play. Once we stopped taking penalties in the third period, Denver didn't get a sniff. Scheel is an absolute star right now and I hope he's back in tomorrow. Regardless of the opinions on the calls, we need to figure out a way to stay out of the box. Too many good PPs in our league and in the country to keep giving up 6 power plays. We have to fix it. PK has been wonderful, but we're playing with fire. Loved Juddy tonight. Becoming an absolute horse. Pinto is the best player in the NCHC and showed it again, tonight. Lastly, goodness, Jake Sanderson is incredible. Felt a lot more offensively minded tonight and I loved seeing that. If he stays one more year and I have a hunch he will, he's gonna have a massive point-producing season. That play where he went coast-to-coast just before Jasper's goal, beating at least three guys through neutral into the zone and then ringing a wicked-quick-released wrister off the pipe made me laugh out loud. May be the best pure player I've seen as a freshy since Toews. So skilled. So smart. Great win. HUGE help from Miami and Western tonight. Step on DU's throat tomorrow and make them have to win three games in a row on our ice to make the tourney.
  11. I sure hope he's kidding because my goodness.
  12. Wait, wat?! He's kidding, right? LOLOL
  13. I'm excited to see how the boys play this weekend. I expect it to be a "full" house and we seemed to play with a lot of juice a couple weeks ago. With DU in town, that only adds fuel. Get it done, boys!
  14. Completely agree in general, but this one is brilliant! I love this. Let's go. Build that rivalry! I thought that entire post was hilarious and made us look silly. But, that's ok... we are silly! The first part defining UND as goons is worn out, but I did love the comments about our board. Give it to me more! Bring it on, LetsGoDU. I have a blog that I plan on firing up again once I finish up my MBA again in three weeks. I'm all for some back and forth
  15. Right? And 6-2 since the pod and 13-4-1 overall haha. Feels like pretty much a season-long extended winning streak. Ok, not consecutive, but pretty dang good.
  16. UND back to No. 1 in the USA Today Poll. No. 2 in the USCHO. https://www.uscho.com/rankings/national-polls/ https://www.uscho.com/rankings/d-i-mens-poll/
  17. Absolutely! In a one-game tourney, this gives everyone in our tough a$$ league a legit shot. Great stuff.
  18. I frickin' love this. Such a smart way to do it. Basically a warm up to the national tournament.
  19. It's funny, I think I liked the new guy's voice better, but my goodness, he was NOT a good pxp guy.
  20. Very, very skilled top two lines, but no depth. I fear they'll take another step back once Caufied and Holloway leave. But, those boys can frickin skate.
  21. Thanks for the generalized statement in comparing the 2018-19 team with the 2020-21 team. This team often buries chances seeing we have the 6th highest scoring offense, much differently than 18-19. If you don't believe UND dominated (or whatever term you choose to use -- controlled, carried, etc.), then I don't know what to tell ya, guy.
  22. One and two, sure, minus the "or better" part of No. 1. Three... that's, well, shall we say -- debatable. Saville gave up 9 goals on 79 shots (UND had an ENG on Friday) for a 88% save percentage and had a combined 4.5 goals against average in the two games. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin...
  23. All the "downvotes" aside, does a one-goal win at home in which they had 3 power play goals in 5 chances and got outshot by 20 really reflect a wholly positive view on UNO? I'm not sure it does, man. All things considered, UND absolutely dominated that series when 5-on-5 and unequivocally should have left Baxter with two wins.
