Why are there 2 game threads? This game is f'd up enough the way it is.

And why do world events cause crude oil prices to fluctuate? Because they affect supply. I sell a commodity that the whole world needs, food. I'm not going to make much if anything this year even though I had a good crop, I guess I'll blame myself. You really need to take an economics class or stop reading Mother Jones or the Daily Kos.

It never fails to amaze me that Americans are under the assumption that they are entitled to life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness....and cheap gas. As they drive their $50,000 Suburbans and crew cab 4whl. drive pickups. Gas at $3.00 is far cheaper today than it was at $1.00 30 years ago with todays dollar value.Gasoline is a commodity traded on an open market the same as wheat,corn,gold etc. If the evil "big oil" companies controlled the price of oil, how could it possibly drop from $140 a bbl. to $80 now. ($66 for ND crude.) Maybe they just got tired of making so much money.

Thanks Poobah, although we had a great time in Philly last spring, tips like this would have been very helpful. We found out in that cab fares in Philly were quite "variable". ( Make sure they have the meter running when you get in.)

Would not North Dakota be a new name and ND a new logo? All the NCAA cares about is that we are no longer The Fighting Sioux or using the logo officially.

Enough of the "moniker" crap. Unless you wear a monocle and use a cigarette holder it's NICKNAME. Ever been around Michigan hockey? They say Go Blue, not Wolverines. Does Minnesota spell GOPHERS when they score? Quick, what's BU's nickname? BC is BC, no one thinks "oh no,we have the Eagles in our regional." We are known as "The Sioux" or North Dakota. We lost "The Sioux", we're STILL North Dakota. Some crap ass,hurry up we need a "moniker", the sky is falling, replacement isn't wanted or needed.
